Great facility in the North End! Nothing else compares to the one on one result based training offered at Redemption. Whether you are recovering from an injury or looking to take your strength to the next level; the owner Chris has the plan for you. I took Toni's Sweat class and loved it! The workout she lead us through was challenging, creative, and a blast! Toni explained everything so clearly and helped me perfect my form throughout the class. Her high energy level was contagious which motivated me to push myself. Also, the music was a 10 out of 10 (which is always important to me). The facility was great too: very clean!! I highly recommend taking Toni's class and also Redemption in general. More...

I've been working with Chris for the past 7 years or so. He consistently makes me hate him (which, in this, is a very good thing! ). Unlike many trainers who follow fads or instruct clients to just do what they do (because that's all they know), Chris is actively interested in the science of fitness and exercise and will do the research to figure out what custom program is most appropriate for YOU given your body, your lifestyle, your goals, and even your energy level on a particular day. I first met Chris about 18 months ago and have been training with him exclusively for about a year. I use the term "training" liberally as I am not training for a marathon or anything comparable. My objectives are to maintain high-energy and range-of-motion and to move through middle-age gracefully. I've got a crazy work schedule that involves worldwide travel approximately 40 weeks per year and have a thousand excuses to skip sessions but Chris provides a very inviting environment that motivates me to plank, lift, lunge, squat, and press more than I ever imagined possible. As a physical therapist, I've been very impressed with Chris's dedication to continuing his education and commitment to tailoring programs to each individual. We have had many enlightening discussions where I came away with a firmer grasp of how to better train myself, and principles I could even utilize in a rehabilitation setting. Love this place! I have been working with Chris on and off for over 2 years, and most recently since he started Redemption. I have a few physical challenges, such as bad back, bad shoulder, and now quirky knees and Chris switches things up and helps me work on the area that needs it the most. He takes the time to explain the what, why, and how of why he has me doing certain exercises and strength moves. I even love dead lifts now. He genuinely cares! More...

Chris was my first real personal trainer, and he taught me about so much more than just lifting weights. He takes the time to understand your goals and teaches you how to create a lifestyle that supports them. Chris transformed me in six months. From my physical, mental and actually made working out fun.
