My girlfriend and I put our puppy, Pax through the 3 week board and train. We had heard about Priory through about 3 different friends who have used them and so we decided to see what they could do with our Pax. We've had him back for a week so far and we are amazed by the results!!! Before Pax would try to run in the streets in uptown Charlotte, where we live, and now he walks right by our side and waits when we stop. His confidence is so much higher than before and we see it every time we bring Pax to dog friendly places. He's much more calm during the day and loves his daily training sessions. More...

Our Siberian Husky China just finished a three week board and train with Andrew and Lyndsay. The difference it has made is amazing! She has calmed down a lot. She is walking with us on the leash without pulling us. She is following the stay command. We have designated her a place when company comes over for her to stay until she's calmed down enough to greet. Believe me, beforehand she was crazy when company came over. These are things we will have to keep up with her in order for her to retain, and it's worth every penny! I was worried with China being stubborn, and she still does want to try us, but with the training we got to work with China. I see nothing but positive coming our way. Kudo's to Priory K-9 Training and Kennels. I Love their training techniques, and the love they show for the dogs they train. If anyone has any questions about their facility, I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. They are great! More...

I can't say enough good things about Andy and his other helpers! Isa was a wild GSD and he worked wonders with her. I got her home, and immediately put her on place, only non-verbal commands to sit and lay. She held place, calmed down, then got to see the rest of the family. No jumping or leash pulling so far, which were her biggest issues. She is so eager to please and has been a changed girl! Thanks for all of the hard work and time they put in with her she is a pleasure! I can't wait to take her back for a follow up with them and continue to gain more confidence with she and I. I highly recommend them. Very professional and very educated. Thanks again for all you have done to help us! More...

I don’t recall when I started training with Andy, but my dog has responded wonderfully with the commands learned so far. I’ve learned quite a bit myself and am looking forward to learning a lot more. I honestly can’t believe this is the same dog who used to drag me down the road and not listen to me at all. I can’t forget Lindsey, Nugget turns into such a ham when he sees her. I can’t say enough positive things about training and my experience so far, I’m still in awe how well my dog responded to the commands he’s learned. Andy and Lindsey are so wonderful to work with. Grateful that I was able to find Andy. Our boy Loki has been able to channel his puppy energy into learning and executing commands with Andy's help. The level of training that Loki needs is beyond what a normal request would be from most customers and Andy has never been apprehensive about teaching Loki what we want him to know. We have continued to work after Loki's initial training and my wife and I are very pleased. We drive over 2 hours one way to have our boy trained when we have trainers in our backyard if that tells you anything. More...

I put my 1 year old Goldendoodle, Wrigley, in the 3 week board & train program at Priory K-9. Before he started his training, he was notorious for leash pulling, jumping, heardheaded behavior and more often than not, he was disobedient in many aspects for even general commands like “sit”. As a new dog owner and having adopted Wrigley, I wanted the best for him and I knew I made the right choice as soon as I met Andrew Collins and witnessed all he and his business has to offer along with the genuine care and concern given to every K-9. I know without a doubt, Andrew and his team want the best for both the dog and owner. They want to see your dog succeed just as much as you do. Needless to say, I picked up my dog today and was almost brought to tears at how much progress he had made in just a three weeks time. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the many great mile stones he will accomplish with more time training at Priory and I will absolutely be taking advantage of follow up sessions and keeping Priory K-9 as my first choice for boarding needs in the future. Wrigley has the same loving, playful personality as before, but after being at Priory K-9, he knows all commands, is a pleasure to take on walks and overall has a better, more tamed, respectable, alert, impressive and gentle manner about him that he has obtained during his time at priory. I strongly recommend Priory K-9 as they have so much to offer and even considering them for boarding would benefit the dog as the environment is comforting and safe and they are given lots of attention and play time to interact with other dogs which helps develop them into well rounded and better familiarized with other animals and people. I know that Wrigley will always be treated like family during his time there. I can’t wait to see how much more he will learn from future training sessions!!! So thankful for this family and their incredible business. More...

I can't say enough good things about this place! My dog Nala was a mess before doing a 3 week board and train. Our biggest concern with her was being around other dogs. She got into a scuffle with another dog at the dog park and ever since then, would pull and lunge and bark at other dogs when we would walk in the neighborhood. It got to the point where I had to walk her late at night to avoid seeing anyone. Well, that's all changed now! We have been confidently walking in the daylight! The day after we brought her home, we met another dog in the neighborhood and Nala sat quietly beside me while I talked with the other dog's owners. I was totally blown away! Someone actually stopped us on our walk today to tell us how well behaved Nala is! Not to mention, she knows all her commands now and listens very well. It was a bit of a hike for us to drive in from Charlotte, but SO worth it. I loved the facebook updates, and they even put up with us calling a couple times too. Andy and Lyndsay are so kind, and I can really tell that they genuinely care about my dog. Nala was kind of bummed for a couple days when we brought her home, so I know she loves them too. We are so excited to come to our follow up sessions and perfect Nala's new skills! More...

Our family went back out to do more training with our 1 year old gorgeous German Shepherd, Gaston. Even though this is our 3rd German Shepherd, this is our first time using Priory K-9 training. We signed up for the full training back in July. We are very impressed with them. Our boy is still a puppy and he is learning quickly, becoming spot on with commands and gaining more confidence. Andy was out of town but Jerrod was there and Gaston was excited and reacted like, "MY BUDDY!" And eagerly obeyed. Jerrod trained us more too and his clear direction and commendation gave our daughter the confidence she needed to also be able to train Gaston. We enjoy his patience with us and his love for our canine boy. We definitely recommend Priory K-9 Training & Kennels and will continue using them, as well as take any new canine family members we get in the future to Priory. So many of my close friends know that my little brother has been gone in the army for the past 3+ years. While he's gone, my stepmom and my dad were taking care of his best friend, his dog, Charlie. Charlie is an outside dog and as sweet as can be. Never required a lot. A couple months ago, my dad and step mom split up and my dad had to move out into his own place. It doesnt allow dogs. So Charlie was going to keep staying at my step moms since she has a lot of land. Yesterday, my step mom took Charlie to be euthanized. Without telling any of us. I'm not going to go into detail about my feelings toward this, but as you might assume, I was not very happy. My little brother is coming home soon. Very soon. And after years of serving this country and being away from home, the last thing I wanted was for him to come home and find his dog dead. SO! I found Charlie and brought her home. Remember, this is an outside dog that has not had much attention for the past few years. Sydney and I spent around two hours brushing her out when we brought her back to my home. She was so gross. Today Im taking Charlie to the vet and bought her her first toy since she was a few weeks old. I called Andy and his lovely wife at Priory and told them my situation. I thought I could surprise my brother if he came home to a trained Charlie! After speaking with them about how much basic obedience would cost, they both decided to train Charlie for free. These two are such kind hearted people and I am overjoyed to be able to tell my future veteran brother that Charlie is safe at home and starting dog school on Saturday. If any of you need your dog trained, not only is Priory incredible with dogs, and insanely affordable, but they are some of the best humans I have met in a very long time. I am so so thankful to have met them. Wish Charlie luck in school(: More...
