I don't even know where to begin. As a Pagan, officiants are few and far between. The closest one to us was an hour or so away, and (reasonably so) charged for travel.
Having a local officiant was very helpful to us!!!! I am blessed to say our very complicated, custom ceremony was amazing. Since my husband and I were mingling both religious and cultural traditions and didn't want to leave anything out, we did a unity candle, handfasting, AND a ring exchange, with custom vows and a broom jump to finish. As this was completely customized, George provided written copies for us to review several times before hand, and was easily available for any questions or concerns. We were given the option for his attire (casual dress to suit and tie, or the option we chose, traditional Pagan robes). Our venue was outdoors and in a park, but because George is well-spoken, he was easily heard even in the back even though he was not mic'd up during my ceremony. He also provided us with a custom handfasting certificate and his calligraphy is beautiful. I cannot have been happier with the ceremony and when we renew our handfasting, he will definitely be doing the ceremony!
If this were not enough, Papa Bear's also took care of our catering, bbq chicken, all the sides (potato salad, baked beans, slaw, rolls), sweet and unsweet tea, and water. Everyone was thrilled with the food, and left thoroughly entertained and full!
I cannot thank the Papa Bears crew enough for helping make my special day less stressful and beautiful at the same time. I highly recommend them as a one stop shop for any event!

What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Moving between tempos of music seamlessly and listening to the crowd.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
Our business is based around family. We try to keep everything on that level. That said, we are also professionals and we strive to ensure our customers get the experience they want and deserve.
What do you love most about your job?
Making people happy. Watching people dance to good music, seeing a bride smile hearing words written especially for her and her groom, and on the catering side, hearing peoples' comments about our food.
I'll never forget a mom coming to me at a catered event and saying she was sorry her three year old was eating my green beans. I said, "That's OK, I'm glad." She said, "No come see." As we walked into the Fellowship Hall, I spied her little guy. He had pulled up a chair to the buffet line... and was eating from the chaffing dish. "He hates green beans," she said.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been cooking for gatherings for 40+ years, been a shutterbug for 30, working in sound for almost 40, and been a minister for about 7. With all these abilities, it just made sense to start a company that would put those skills to use, so we started an events service.

Event Services - DJ - photography, catering, celebrant
We aren't just another DJ, or photographer, or caterer, or unaffiliated minister. We designed our business to help alleviate the stress of dealing with several different vendors for one event.
We can provide sound for any small to medium gathering. Our DJs can use your playlist or create one to your specifications. Look through our photos to see our rig lit up with our lights.
Whether you need a head shot for your website or your event documented, we're ready to meet your photographic needs.
Papa Bear's started as a food service and we can provide delicious food for your special occasion. Whether you want a whole hog pig pickin' with all the trimmings, hamburgers and hotdogs for an outdoor get together, or BBQ chicken, we have an assortment of equipment to handle smaller gatherings or a fully functional mobile kitchen with a smoker to handle larger events.
Our celebrant services are unique in this area. As an unaffiliated minister, I am not confined to one religion or ideology, as an affiliated minister may be. I have written wedding and funeral services for atheists, agnostics, LGBT+ couples, Harry Potter themes, Viking themes, a Druid/ Christian/Native American/Jewish wedding service and more. My services are different in that they are written totally for the client(s). No sermon with your wedding... unless you want it.
