Matt came in originally to shoot photos for our Uber Eats page but offered to shoot the entire cafe and event space at a great price! He gave us some great high resolution and low resolution captures in both b/w and enhanced hd. I highly recommend him for anyone looking to find a freelance photographer! I'm the opposite of photogenic—but I needed a professional-looking headshot. Matt advised me on clothing options to bring before the session and selected great choices from what I brought; made sure collars laid right, hair wasn't askew, glasses weren't reflecting poorly, and lighting just right. There wasn't a detail he missed... all while helping me to feel confident and comfortable. He also made selecting my favorite photos very easy. My daughter did her first modeling photo shoot with Matt in June. Not only was her very professional at all times, but he was so very patient with her. Matt is an amazing photographer! Last week was my daughter's first high fashion shoot and she was so nervous. He took his time with her, explaining what to do and what not to do. I came to Matt as a complete novice, not knowing one end of my camera from the other and booked in for two 1.2.1 sessions. He was patient and full of great insights and taught me some very useful techniques, which have helped me progress. Matt has so much time for you and makes you feel at ease and able to ask questions feely. Saturday, I spent the entire day in a professional photography studio learning about. Finding Your Light - Studio Strobe Lighting 8 Hour Workshop! Matt Nichols was a awesome instructor, very professional and easy to understand the lighting concepts he was teaching. Great hands on training using the studio strobes and natural light with two professional freelance models in a variety of situations! The models Felicity Bianca and Alyssa Stevens made it so easy to photograph them, they were outstanding at posing without direction. Which gave the photographers all they needed to focus on the different lighting techniques! The best workshop I have ever attended.

Matt was patient and unhurried during my photo session. He kept me talking to help me relax, made sure my necklace was laying just right, my glasses were level and my naturally curly hair wasn't going off in a million different directions. Then after taking several different shots, he helped me narrow them down to 10 to look at closely. Then I was able to choose the best 2. Enjoyed the workshop today for Intro to DSRL. Matt was very knowledgeable about different camera operations and applications. I walked away with more info about use of my camera and can't wait to try all the helpful hints Matt gave us. Will take more classes if offered !

I can't say enough nice things about Matt as the photographer for my daughter's wedding. He was so reassuring during the planning and throughout the wedding day. Just as he had said he kept us on time and we had to think about nothing but enjoying the day. With a destination wedding in Colorado, I was looking for a photographer there for the wedding and one in Kansas City for engagement photos. Then I met Matt...Matt's personality and energy clicked with mine and the fact that he was willing to travel to Estes Park, CO for my wedding made our decision to use him as our photographer much easier.

Matt was open to my engagement photo ideas and embraced them head on. He even went with my suggestion to rent one of the bicycles downtown to snap some fun and more non-traditional photos.

Matt provided us with beautiful engagement photos and even more beautiful wedding photos. During my reception Matt had the wedding photos we had taken earlier that day up and running for our guests to get a sneak preview of. Everyone was raving about the pictures!

Hiring Matt to do our photography for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made! We actually hired his wife as well, Karla with Crescendo Trio, to play during our ceremony and reception so we got the best of both worlds -- it was a win-win situation. Matt was so easy to work with. This was a 2nd marriage for both my husband and I, and Matt understood we were going to do things a little different than most first-time brides. He was completely understanding and wanted to make sure we got all the pictures we wanted, and not ones we didn't. The day of the ceremony Matt was amazing. We got married at Lake Quivira Country Club and we were to have someone drive us around in golf carts to show us the "popular" spots for pictures. Well, the driver just seemed to drive around aimlessly and it was Matt's creative eye that took over and got some beautiful pictures!!!
