What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Developing a great connection between the model (that's you) and the photographer! Of course, great lighting, the time of day, technical knowledge and experience all come into the equation!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I love it when clients can show me images of the theme/style/vibe that they would like us to try and replicate.
Obviously, lighting is everything - so we need to determine if we are doing a natural light shoot, what time of day is best.
The location is also important - what kind of backdrop is the client looking for (we have to consider if permits are required for some locations)
These three questions usually lead to a more organic pre-shoot conversation to help us both achieve exactly what the client wants from their photography experience!
What do you love most about your job?
Everything! I love that each shoot is totally different - getting to connect with new people, enjoy capturing special memories or being able to use my experience to create a unique, impactful and beautiful image. I love to travel and discover new places, things and people to capture. I love to shoot nature, landscape, pets, horses and kids especially, but I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of my work - whether it is event, vehicles, real estate, weddings, maternity or commercial shoots.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I used to work in front of the camera for many years and I understand that it is intimidating being in front of a huge lens and suddenly feel awkward and self-aware, feeling that you are under a microscope. I specialize in taking nervous clients and making them shine, feel confident and amazing in front of the lens, so I can capture them at their very best. I have always been an artist and every single shoot challenges me to become an even more well-rounded photographer. Even with 11 years of experience and multiple awards for my work, I remain a perpetual student of my craft in order to remain humble and continue to grow as a professional photographer.

Yes - where possible, I can certainly work remotely. For product photography, the client can send their products to me. I also offer video editing, graphic design and photo retouching/editing.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I have no problem wearing a mask around clients, if they request this.
