Musical Occasions

This woman has both an EXCELLENT voice and a wonderful heart and spirit. I called Aletha at 2 p.m. on a Friday afternoon after the group that I originally expected to perform that same night, backed out at the last moment. It was our 44th wedding anniversary and the entertainment was to be the special topper for our small family gathering. I was blessed to find Aletha. She turned out to be not only a much better choice than the original group, but also much more affordable. She was easily worth twice the price she charged.
I told her the type of music I wanted, and included two "must-have" songs. One song was a well known standard, "My Girl", to start the show. She KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK! We quickly learned that this tiny woman, who looked like she just graduated from high school, had pipes that could compete with the best of them. After hearing her first success, I was able to totally relax and enjoy the dinner and chat with my guests.
The other song, was not so popular, especially with younger folks. Aletha found the song, it's lyrics and learned the song all within the few hours until our function. The song, "Knocks Me Off My Feet" by Stevie Wonder, was done with a style and grace that made it seem like she had been singing it all her life. By the end, my wife, my family and I were all singing along and dancing to close out the night.
Aletha not only provided great entertainment, but she was also affable, kind and smart.
HIRE THIS WOMAN! Her sweet melodic voice; her kind, mature demeanor; and her more than fair prices will all make for a great show.
At the end, my wife asked if her name was "Aletha or ARETHA!" She might not be The Queen of Soul, but she definitely deserves to be in The Queen's Court. I can honestly give her 5 big stars for her performance, demeanor, willingnes s to work, and price.
