My dog died within hours of being dropped off. They said he was hit by a car and died. The police report shows no car stopped and my dead dog was already at lucky dog resort when the police responded. They have since given us nothing but his body and their insurance information. We have been sending our dog, Luna to Lucky Dog for over two years since we moved to the area. Luna loves to go to daycare and she was is always exhausted after a full day of play. I have been a dog mom for over 30 years and have had good dog vacation experiences and fair ones. Lucky dog- is exceptional! !! Laurie and her team including Morgan and Rob gave my challenged rescue dog (who had never been away from us) an unbelievable level of attention and love, even though it was a holiday week. My baby has been only in one home-based training facility before. I was very nervous about finding a place that I liked and trusted. Ada is still working through her anxiety with the help of Laurie and her staff. I received updates, pictures showing me her progress. I can say that now although Ada si still overcoming her anxiety, she seems to be very excited and happy as soon as we pull over at the parking lot. and they both seemed so happy. I am so happy with Lucky Dog Resort. Laurie and her staff are wonderful, and they truly care about the animals. My lab mix, Kona, is so excited to go to doggie day care that I cannot even say the words until we are just about ready to depart the house. All training goes out the window as she drags me up the walkway and literally throws herself into the arms of Greg with such pure joy that it is truly heartwarming. I take her 2-3 times a week, and I am so grateful for the wonderful care they give her. It is very difficult to turn your little one over to the care of someone else, but I have no doubt she is in great hands. I was stationed in Newport for 7 months for school, which had me out of the house for 12-15 hrs a day. You can only go on so many walks with a 2yr old golden retriever to drain her batteries. Lucky Dog provided a fun and safe place for Maggie to run round and socialize with other dogs. The staff was amazing and worked with me when my schedule changed. We have two dogs with very different personalities - a 2.5 year-old mixed breed who is very timid from a tough puppyhood (before we got her) and a 5-month old shepherd mix who is not at all timid. We hadn't yet boarded the two and so were very picky in where we would leave them for the first time. Couldn't be happier with Lucky Dog.
