One time my Buddy Bill Brasky and I along with Dr.oakly and our one older and meaner friends Russ. Went up to the ole Necto and of course you guessed it, we danced the night away. The drinks they was on point we was all double fisting fishbowls. Then Russ he's older but a total lady's man the honeys they was all over him the "honeys was in the hive" you know what I'm saying? Bill was up at the bar drinking it dry but dude is a tank and that tank was on E so he filled it up with jager bombs they was 3 for 10 doll hairs. Dr. Oakly was just killing it on the dance floor I mean we all was but he looked like Mike Jackson mixed with Shakira his hips didn't lie. I've been coming to Necto for 7 years now, and all of the staff have become like family to me. I have never had a bad time there. Everyone is always so nice and professional, making sure that people are safe and having a good time. Last night was my one year anniversary of being done with chemotherapy and I wanted to go there to celebrate and they went way above and beyond out of their way to give myself and my friends a VIP booth and bottle service just out of the kindness of their hearts. My friends and I go all the time on thursdays and saturdays and we absolutely LOVE it... the DJs are awesome and stay current with great music. .. drinks are the cheapest of any bar in Ann Arbor that i've been to and the atmosphere is great for dancing!!! My friends and I go to Necto all the time, we have tried all of their nights. Monday is goth night, it was fun but a little different too. I guess if I was into that it would be a really cool night. Thursday is college night, they play top 40 and have awesome drink specials! (half off everything before 11!) needless to say we get there early to take advantage. Friday (gay night) is fun too, as a bunch of single girls you will never feel better about yourself than when you walk out of necto on a friday night. all night long the bois are saying ""oh girl I love your hair' ""you are so hot, If i was straight I would soooooo do you"" not to mention, most of the bois are HOT and shirtless ;) Saturday is always busy, it seems like it is a bit more of a mature crowd than thursdays (not like old, old but not all 18 either) Tons of cute guys! Voted best new club of 2002 in Urb Magazine, this club definitely is the place to be if you want to hear big name DJs such as Richie Hawtin, Carl Craig, etc. They do an excellent job of booking first rate acts mainly techno, house, trance, and drum and bass. The drinks are decently priced as well, compared to some of the clubs in Detroit. This place needs a facelift though and an upgrade to the sound system. The crowd is decent, although young.
