Jonathan Vail is a 7th generation Texan born and raised in Austin, Texas. He has been taking pictures professionally for over 10 years. He received his Bachelors in Communications with an emphasis in Journalism at the University of Texas at Austin. Jonathan has worked as a contractor for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation for the past 6 years, doing all of their media production including photo, videos, and podcast. He is available for other freelance contracts as well to help you with all your media needs.

Jonathan has a strong passion for anything that has to do with nature and the outdoors including: fly fishing, mountain biking, kayaking, dirt bikes, hiking, camping, and hunting. This relationship with the wild things and wild places of Texas is what drew Jonathan to photography in the first place. This brings an authentic perspective to his photos and will bring that out in your brand. Jonathan will do whatever it takes to get the shot whether it’s climbing up a mountain or wading neck deep across a river. His goal is to share the best of what Texas and beyond has to offer
