We went with John Ross for our wedding on 8/24. Robby was our DJ & musician and he was absolutely amazing! Everyone thought he did a great job during the ceremony and when he performed the song for our first dance. I am so happy we found him through John Ross! He also did a great job as a DJ. The DJs at John Ross are also musicians, so not only do they know how to spin the beats, but they also understand and appreciate the finer nuances of all varieties of music. Their website is easy to navigate, and the questionnaire tool is a convenient way to enter all the important information you hadn't thought about yet!All of their DJs looked fantastic, all strong options with their own unique styles. We went with Bo Baskoro for our wedding since he jived with our style and he was absolutely fantastic! I cannot possibly say enough good things about the man. We gelled straight away at our first meeting; he's knowledgeable, intuitive, funny, cheerful, and passionate. Day of, Bo was calm, professional, and flexible. We were thrilled to have him play live music for the processional. The reception was tons of fun and he struck that perfect balance of charismatic, lively, and humble host. We were very particular on the musical style we wanted and a cohesive vibe to create throughout the evening. Not only did Bo do a superb job balancing our direction while reading the crowd, but he got excited over the same type of music we did (GRiZ, Vulfpeck, Gramatic, Big Wild, etc.) and he was genuinely thrilled to be there, not just a one-more-gig-attitude. On the dance floor Bo knew exactly when to check in with us on guests' requests, and he never pestered.In the end we were even able to dance a little longer than permitted at our venue, and it turns out the support staff was having just as much fun as we were so they were in no rush! We had the pleasure of working with John, Jenny and Dillon to provide music for our wedding last weekend. Coordinating with everyone was so pleasant and easy and we were so so lucky to have Dillon provide music at the event. He played live for our ceremony and did an amazing job. The rest of the night he was such a joy, frequently checking in on us, making sure everything was going as planned and everyone was having a blast. We booked John Ross Music and Production through a recommendation by our coordinator team. We're so glad we went with their top suggestion as we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! ! We chose Dillon when we heard his catalogue on the website, and solidified our choice after hearing him live in person. We absolutely LOVE this place. Bo was our musician and I will tear up thinking of how great he did. He sang live for us walking down the isle and killed it the rest of the evening as a DJ. We are so glad we booked John Ross music for our wedding. They have a team of musicians, but we actually had John Ross play for us at the wedding. My husband and I just recently got married in October. John Ross M & P was recommended by our event coordinator and I could not have imagined it any other way. John Ross is the best in the business. We had an absolutely amazing experience with them from beginning to end.Bo was our wedding DJ/MC - he is AWESOME! John Ross and his crew were absolutely professional and delightful. Our musician was Kelly Bechtel and we couldn't have been happier. Kelly is a talented singer, guitar player and dj. In our first meeting he took the time to get to know us a little and ask about the venue and the type of music we wanted. After that, we compiled a list of songs and genres for Kelly and he was able to base his compilation of songs based on our suggestions. At the event, everyone loved the music selections and there was a lot of dancing. Kelly was also kind enough to accommodate some impromptu performances from our musician friends. All in all, the best compliment for Kelly's contribution to the evening came from friends a few days after the event. My husband and I hired John Ross Music and Production for our May wedding and we were extremely impressed and happy with our decision. We requested Bo as our DJ/musician and he did a phenomenal job! He (and the rest of the John Ross staff) were very responsive during the planning process and on the day of our wedding Bo was everything you would need or want in a DJ. We were so pleased with John Ross music and our DJ, Michael. They were recommended as the in-house DJ at our venue and from the first contact we knew we were dealing with professionals. They were flexible (we had a friend play us down the aisle and a bagpiper play our recessional but used their DJ to fill in before and after) and were able to incorporate recommended songs during dinner we had from years of exchanging playlists. It made our night all the more meaningful!

We worked with the John Ross company and Kelly Bechtell as our DJ for our big day one month ago. Firstly, we just want to say - wow, what talented individuals! These guys go far and beyond! In additional to curating a playlist and announcement program suited to our big day, each of them also sings and plays an instrument - making our day even more special, personalized, and intimate. From the get-go, my husband and I had a particular song in mind that we really wanted to be played acoustically on guitar during our ceremony. Kelly did a phenomenal job of learning the song and seamlessly tied it into our other ceremony music. I was literally in tears walking down the aisle as I was not only marrying my best friend, but also had the perfect soundtrack playing in the background.

Overall, we were impressed with how professionally and organized the pre-wedding meetings were. We were even more amazed the day of. Every song Kelly played had the crowd saying "that's my song!" It was an incredible evening and we would hire John Ross and Kelly again in a heartbeat!

The only recommendation I have for future brides is to keep a clear communication regarding your desired event start and end times so that your DJ is able to have flexibility in accommodating, particularly if checking in before your last song of the evening is played! More...

Wonderful DJ! John was the DJ for our wedding in July, and he was a perfect choice. His office kept in contact with us reguarly from our first inquiry until the event. My husband was in charge o music, he communicated with John both online and at an in person meeting a month or so before the event and was extremely happy (as was I) with the whole process. The online questionnaire was a great way for John to get an idea of what we wanted, and a great way for me and husband to get on the same page about music for the whole event. John and Mike (from the Elysian Ballroom) worked well together, meaning we didn’t have to worry about coordinating DJ and venue at all. We had a great experiencing working with John Ross Music for our wedding. They are organized. Their online portal made everything so easy to track and update. They walked us through the process for selecting our music and the flow for our event so that it felt like we hardly did any work at all.

Andrew Serino is a fantastic musician, DJ, and emcee. He even learned a new song to play for our recessional with only a month's notice. And he did an excellent job of managing song requests and making last-minute adjustments as things changed during the day itself.

When someone tells you that you can have a DJ who can also sing live (and sing incredibly well) at your wedding... there's no reason to look anywhere else. Not having to choose between live music or a DJ was music to our ears (pun intended... ha). On top of that, every single aspect of working with John Ross Music was so simple and positive. From talking with John Ross himself, to working with our AMAZING musician/DJ Andrew Serino, to the front office emails from Jennifer... everyone was super professional, prompt, and friendly. I would recommend John Ross for any event, especially a wedding. He was so helpful throughout the entire planning process (i. e. had detailed forms for music preference, ideas for songs, etc.) and was awesome on the day of. We were running behind schedule at one point and he came up and asked if he could pick and choose from our must-play list based on the vibe of the reception. I LOVED this because it took all the pressure off of us. The music turned out fantastic.

However, my favorite part might have the fact the played the guitar as I walked down the aisle. It felt very special and personalized.

Lastly, John Ross provided lighting (pictures provided) that really elevated dinner and the reception at night.

I can't say enough good things about John Ross Music and Production and Michael Blake. We hired the team to handle ceremony music and reception DJing for our wedding, with live cocktail-hour music in between. From start to finish, they made the experience flawless and enjoyable. They cared about getting to know us as a couple which truly shined through the night of. They were willing to run with the music all together during dinner or dancing, but also accommodate 100 specific song requests.
