We have breakfast here quite often as the place isn't far from our house. It's also a convenient spot to dine before heading nearly next door to Safeway. The breakfasts are so abundant that we don't have another meal again till supper time. I won't mention any one plate in particular because everything is delicious here. What I would like to address is that I have noticed a number of posts here by visitors from out of the area who think they see the locals like us being given greater priority in level of service. Yes, it is true that many locals dine here, and good thing, too, as the winter time brings in fewer customers and it's the locals that keep the place going. That having been said, I would also suggest the dissatisfied ones to pay attention to what time they arrive. At times, especially lunchtime on weekends and during holidays, there is a line out front waiting to be seated. Is so, no one can realistically expect prompt service from an already overworked staff. Try coming earlier or later than the rush hour and you might be pleasantly surprised. On another note I would say I find the decor here, which has remained unchanged for literally years, is decidedly getting to the shabby stage and the place truly needs a makeover. Beyond that I would also like to have my breakfast served on a warmed plate instead of a cold one, little touches and considerations of that sort make a big difference, particularly on a cold morning. Crazy good service. Waitress loved her job and it showed. Had the green egg omelette. Fantastic! Bacon was super crisp and was just plane good. Great fuel to play golf later and skip lunch. The staffs are nice, the food is awesome and the price is very reasonable! We ordered a fresh seafood omelet, dollar pancake with berries for my daughter, and my husband order new york steak and eggs. The new york steak is decent and just right. The fresh seafood omelet was a pleasant surprise! There are prawns, crab and swiss cheese in omelettes and we tasted the freshness of the seafood. The cheese is light, and we requested horseradish sauce on the side, and so it's not as heavy. Hosted a catered dinner on the beach for 27, and used Jeffrey's Grill and Catering to take care of us. Â WOW! Â They took GREAT care of us - especially Paige who led the crew. Â Friendly, professional, and truly wanted us to have the best experience possible. Â We were moving around the beach building sandcastles, and sitting near the water, then near our bonfires. Â Without asking, they would walk their delicious appetizers out to us with smiles and friendliness. Â Same with wine service. Â Their food was DELICIOUS, and our entire group commented on the presentation, flavor and selection. We love this place! It's one of my favorites in the Monterey Carmel area. It's open only for lunch and breakfast. The menu is very unique. It's one of the few places I have ever seen lamb and eggs on the menu. Everything is really good and in most cases more creative than other standard lunch or breakfast places. Really make a move I had link sausage with apple fritters and a side of over easy eggs. My wife had a half an order of eggs benedict Everything was great! This is our 'go to' place for breakfast in this area. Â We try to get down here at least once/twice a year. Â This time, I had the local link sausage w/Apple Fritter and a side of over-easy eggs. Â Wow, what a terrific breakfast! Â My wife had the half order of Eggs Benedict. Â She, too, was a happy camper! Â A nice touch was the warm syrup for the Apple Fritters served in a thermal travel mug at the table to keep it warm throughout our meal!The link sausage is a local specialty. Â I think the brand is Corralitos Sausage and for today it had some Keilbasa (Portuguese) sausage taste to it. Â This brand comes in many different flavor/varieties so you have to ask the server what the basic flavor is. From organizing the menu with Paige, I was drooling months in advance of our rehearsal dinner. Thankfully, when we showed up, it was just as delicious as we had been imagining.
Paige was great to work with via phone and understood the price range I was working with. She planned a menu beyond what I ever could have expected in the same range. They are very informal with the planning process, but that worked well for me.
Julie was our server, and she did a great job of setting up the buffet spread before our party started. Julie worked really hard to not throw any stress onto my husband or me when the inevitable things went a little wrong (i.e. we couldn’t find the napkins or coffee cups we brought). Grandparents were quick to turn to my husband and myself with problems, but Julie was working to figuring things out without alarming us wherever she could.
As a testament to Jeffrey’s quality: our friends were scheming/stealing bags of cookies from each other at the end of the night, because they were just that good.

Hello, Jeffrey's, I missed you. Coming back is like catching up with an old friend, with your quick yet friendly service and lengthly specials menu. I usually like the sausage which changes based on what's available but my friend had that so I went with a stuffed pepper breakfast dish. Nothing new to report, just the service is great as ever and the menu items are consistent, with lots of healthy options. Top it off with cappuccino or latte. I'm glad they have such great coffee. This should be a standard "go to" breakfast spot if you find yourself in the area. The food is always sensationational and very reasonably priced. Portions are generous. Service can be a bit hit or miss on busy days, but I have never not found them well intended. Maybe a bit inexperienced, - but not in the kitchen where Jeffrey himself is often directing the kitchen operations personally. He is a real chef. This is one of the local favorites. A menu that covers absolutely everything. I'm serious. Really, really good food served by attentive, friendly and interesting servers and prepared buy an incredibly well oiled machine of a kitchen. We have been wanting to replace our old favorite "Any Port in a Storm" breakfast place, Exstravaganza, with a new cafe, and Jeffrey's is IT! Lovely outdoor seating in the cafe in the middle of the Mid-Valley shopping center allowed us to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine of Carmel Valley. Â It is also a bit off the beaten path of Highway 1 and Rio Road, so it feels more calm.One a recent morning, we went here for a mid-day meal. Â My honey ordered his huge "Firefighter's" breakfast of bacon, potatoes, an egg over easy and tiny pancakes on the side. Â I opted for a Salad Nicoise, which came with fresh grilled tuna, creating a hearty lunch salad with lots of protein! Jeffrey's Grill was an great little find on our recent trip to the Carmel Valley! Â We were looking for pet-friendly eateries with amazing food and Jeffrey's was A-mazing! Gosh we wish we would have found it earlier on our 1-week trip to Carmel. Â We found it on our very last day.Jeffrey's is located in a shopping center with lot's of parking and offers patio seating that is beautiful and peaceful.
