What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
After 40 years of DJ performance experience I can say that there are several dynamics to a successful party. Over those years of experience I have gained a great knowledge of all the different genres of music. As a Professional Musician of 50 years and over 1000 functions performed, I have strong abilities to read the crowd; this is paying very close attention to how the crowd is reacting to the music playing. Noting the demographics of the crowd also helps to determine what songs to play.
In short, the main ingredient is for the DJ to be completely dialed into the party, the responses on the dance floor, and having a commanding knowledge of music!
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I love to party myself! If I was a guest at a function having a DJ, I would hope that they play a nice variety of music and are acceptable to taking requests. I would hope that they have an extensive library of tunes.
Back in the day, I used to use cassette tapes and CD's !! (Before the internet ! :) So, the number of tunes available was very limited. With Professional DJ Software and a stable/robust internet connection, the DJ could access a professional streaming music service and so a party guest could request virtually ANY song and the DJ will be able to play it!
This is what MY DJ style is like.
PS. I am a professional singer and like to sing a couple songs if the client is OK with it :)
This is something I don't see many DJ's doing at all.

People. Period !

What inspired you to start your own business?
My Father is a Professional musician. I was raised around music. I've learned a lot from him over the years. Music became a huge part of my life starting from my first public performance; the talent show when I was in First grade!
I am an entrepreneur at heart and had built a successful Pharmacy Practice for 20 years. I love being a business owner !
I like to have the ability to practice / perform as I see best.
