Q&As

There are two things, really.
Number one, I really do love to see people being successful. As cheesy as that may sound, it's true for a great many of us. Having a large positive impact on someone's life or business because of the advice and work that you gave them feels really good.
Number two, I hate watching other people make the same mistakes I did. In my line of work I get to give advice that is backed up by years of hands on experience, meaning that I turn my failures into your future successes.
Everyone fails in business, but alerting someone to it before it happens and giving them a strategy to avoid it, or better yet turn it into a strength - that feels great.

I've actually owned several incredibly successful businesses over the years, and also some absolute stinkers! They include ones that I have built from scratch under my own instruction utilizing little to no investment, to businesses that I have joined and turned around much later on in their life cycle.

I believe that many entrepreneurs like myself share a common thought process; They see ideas that are either done badly, or that could be improved upon. One of the defining traits of entrepreneurship is the ability to spot an opportunity and imagine something where others haven't.

That's what inspired me to start a business, and that's what I love about interacting with other business owners - there is opportunity everywhere!

Put simply, I know what I am doing, as do my wonderful colleagues at Frontier Consulting. I have a proven track record of experience and have a passion for helping businesses thrive. Business to me is like a game of chess. You always have to be several steps ahead of anyone else at all times. Sometimes those chess games are very high stakes and involve a huge amount of planning and forward thinking. But, like chess, with considerable practice and the study of the latest techniques and tactics you will find that you begin to consistently win.

We're more than happy to work with our clients remotely. In most cases it actually saves everyone a lot of money, time and hassle. But, we are equally at home in your business where the living, breathing, beating heart of your world converges with our expertise to form unbeatable solutions.

Services

The cornerstone of any business is a strong business plan. It should be a living, breathing and ever changing piece of the business. I see far too many people without one, or with one that's not been dusted off for years.
If you want to get somewhere, you need a map and a strategy of how to tackle the journey.

Marketing strategies come in all different shapes and sizes, and there is no "one size fits all". Each business is different, as is its target audience. Connecting with that audience is the key factor in gaining and maintaining customers.

Whether it be a high budget TV campaign, or a barebones online campaign, it's critical that your business is dedicating the right amount of recourses to get in front of the perfect people. Don't know where to begin? Frontier has you covered!

It's a rarity for anyone to be in a business sector with no competition, and if you are believe me - it won't last. If you want to stay ahead of the curve you need to know as much about the "enemy" as possible.

Most people think of competitor research as seeing what services they have, or where they are currently advertising. But it can answer questions like:

- Where do they get their raw materials?
- How much do they pay their employees?
- Where are they hemorrhaging money?

When some people hear "financial" in their business, they want to switch off. I probably don't need to convince you very much of how important financial planning actually is.

Want to employ that new sales person? Financial planning.
Want to get that new machine? Financial planning.
Want to have a holiday this year? Financial planning.

Whatever your goal is, financial planning is the vehicle that will get you there, without blowing a (very expensive) tire on the way.

Every business has excess, waste, people or services they are overpaying for, or simply more time efficient ways to execute the day to day.

Lean Management is (in part) the art of getting things to run as effectively as possible, with as little waste as possible.

It was Einstein who said: "Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."
