I've been attending Paul's classes for 18 months and continue to be challenged with every session. The workouts are varied, and Paul does a great job of providing options that ramp with your abilities. I actually look forward to working out. More...

I have been going to FinkFit since May 2018.  I am not doing a boot camp just personal training. My objective was muscle and strength I lost during a long illness. Well It is all back and some. I love working out outside in the shade and I am amazed by all the different types of exercise he has  for me to do.  I never get bored. Paul Is a very nice guy.  He is always positive.  Never says anything inappropriate.  I am so glad I found hm. Also his charge is very reasonable.. More...

I have been working out with Paul at Finkfit for 2+ years now and I get a consistently challenging work out from week to week.   The workouts are different each week - one might predominantly focus on core muscles; one week, upper body; the next week could be legs, but every week is a challenging and beneficial workout.   I also belong to a large gym, but I appreciate the small group workouts and more personalized attention that I get at Finkfit.  The large group workouts have a place in my overall fitness plan, but I know that if I'm doing something incorrectly, Paul will  help make sure that I correct it so I don't injure myself.    The folks that attend Paul's workouts are also there to workout, not 'see and be seen'.  I highly recommend Finkfit. I trained with Paul for a few months while I was in graduate school at UT! The workout was amazing. Different circuit workouts with a variation almost each day. I related Paul’s workout style to be similar to HIIT trainings. All of his regulars were very nice and everyone encouraged each other during our group trainings. If I ever find myself back in Austin I definitely will be returning! More...

This was my first time attending the outdoor bootcamp . It might seems a bit sketchy at first to a first timer due to it being in a residential neighborhood and appearing to be someone's house although once we got started the regulars totally made me feel like I was a part of the family and we got right into an intense circuit training workout. One thing I love is that there was no pressure, the trainer was friendly and allows you to go at your pace while still encouraging you to do your best. All of the regulars will also encourage you and ask to see you again the next workout. I definitely plan on coming back! More...

Paul Fink is a extremely talented and innovative trainer. You won't find another fitness professional out there that has his knowledge, commitment, drive or passion. Finkfit workouts are the best part of my week, especially boxing on Sundays.  I danced professionally for over 10 years and never thought I would be in that type of shape again.  I was wrong.  A year working with Paul and I am in the best shape i have ever been in.  I am doing the Spartan Sprint and Warrior Dash in a few months and that is thanks to Paul.  Not only will you get an intense and effective workout for an amazing price, but you will workout with the nicest trainer and group of people in Austin.  I enjoy every workout!  Join his weekly bootcamps (6:30 am Tues and Thurs, 7:00 PM Tues and Thurs, Sat 9:00 am) his boxing workout(Sun 10:30 am) or see him for one on one personal training.  You won't regret it. I started group fitness classes at Finkfit about a year ago, and in that time I've lost 35 pounds (15 since the start of this year), improved my endurance, and gotten much stronger. When I started, I couldn't run around the block without slowing down to a walk. I now regularly run 3-4 miles with no problem. (I'm still slow, but getting faster.) I surprised myself last night by doing a few pull-ups AFTER the circuit workout. I couldn't even manage one pull-up fully rested just a few months ago.Group classes are offered on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7 and last an hour. There's also some morning classes available, but I don't know much about those. (Pretty sure there's one on Saturday morning, and Paul's adding a boxing-themed class on Sunday that I'm looking forward to.) The location is a residence in the Far West neighborhood, and workouts are held outdoors. You'll see punching bags and fitness equipment on the hill, so it's pretty easy to find. Workouts usually consist of a warm-up run, either around the block (.66 miles) or up and down the very steep driveway. If you're not a runner, like I wasn't, then there's no shame in walking or jumping rope instead. After the warm-up, it's a full-body circuit workout for an hour. Paul creates different circuit stations based on the number of people there, and you go from one station to the next until you've completed them all. Rounds are usually 2 or 3 minutes, and you get time to rest/drink some water in between rounds. Like any group fitness class, at Finkfit you get out of it what you put into it. If you're way out of shape like I was, then you can take it (somewhat) easy without being judged or pressured to do something you're not comfortable with. Once you gain confidence and start feeling stronger, you can push yourself harder and Paul will be only too happy to challenge you more. I've gotten into obstacle races/mud runs like Tough Mudder, and this is a great place to train for events like that. Just tell him your goals, and he'll help you get there. More...

I am updating my review. I've been training w/ Paul for over a year now after stumbling upon him via a groupon type thing. I've had great results. I'm more toned, and his workouts have strengthened my running, which is important to me.  I really enjoy the workouts, which he always keeps fresh and varied. I also like the atmosphere he creates, which is to work out hard, enjoy it, and enjoy the others sweating alongside you.   I go three times a week, sometimes 4.  The classes are that good and affordable.  Big thumbs up for Paul! Paul is an excellent trainer. Every time I have attended his bootcamp, I have enjoyed an intense workout. Bootcamps tend to be a hybrid of HIT/Crossfit/Boxing style workouts that hit every muscle group. Mr. Fink brings a great deal of knowledge to the table as well. He certainly walks the walk. If you are looking for a good boot camp in the area, or a great personal trainer, Paul is the man for the job. More...

He also has an impressive gym, with everything one would desire or need for a total body workout.
