This has been a great place for my son over the past year and now my daughter. They both love coming to class and are very engaged. I appreciate the structure and discipline the teachers use with the kids, along with the encouragement and self confidence building they instill. I would highly recommend to others to give it a try. The entire staff at FMAA are really fantastic. I grew up with more than a decade of martial arts training. I've personally had experience with multiple training styles and schools, and spent a lot of time looking for the right school to introduce my kids.
We've now had three of our kids (From 4 to 15 years old) at FMAA over the last 6 years, and have been nothing short of delighted with the experience each of them have had.
I've consistently been impressed with the school's focus on age-appropriate teaching, the staff's obvious and genuine passion for what they do, the broad range of teaching styles, and their focus on technique, discipline, philosophy, and skills application.
I've also been genuinely touched by the personal dedication the staff shows to their students, taking extra time, far above and beyond time during class, to help when students (kids or adult) need an extra hand.
I'd highly recommend FMAA to anyone looking for excellent instruction, in a supportive environment, from a team of knowledgable, talented, and compassionate team of teachers.

My 4 year old has only been going to classes here for two weeks. He is shy and a bit apprehensive in new scenarios. The Sensei’s he has worked with have been patient, understanding and compassionate. He has grown in his confidence so much. I can’t wait to see what he learns going forward. This is an amazing program. More...

I began Martial Arts at age 18 as a Traditional Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do student and currently hold a 3rd degree black belt. I have been practicing Karate, Kickboxing, Jui Jitsu and Tae Kwon Do at Family Martial Arts Academy now for almost 4 years now and still going strong. This is a great school. We have many longterm students and teachers at this school and we compete in competitions together. The sparring classes are excellent and we employ a wide range of fighters. I myself employ hand, leg, spinning, jumping techniques and Cartwheels in my sparring arsenal as well as throws, takedowns and groundwork. This school actually has something worth learning and teachers who are more than capable of getting the job done as well as a great environment. More...

My family and I started training at Family Martial Arts about 18 months ago. We love the quality of the workouts, the flexible schedule, and most of all the culture! The instructors are kind and still firm, yet they always find time to laugh. We have made many friends here. More...

Our 6 year old son has been taking private and group classes here for over a year. This has been such a positive experience for us. My son has learned so much in this time, self confidence, public speaking, following directions, focus, listening skills, respect, and the technical aspects of Karate. The instructors are wonderful, patient and have really worked carefully with our son so he can succeed. We appreciate what you have all done for us, especially Senseis Paul, Julie and Danni! I would highly recommend this academy. Margie & Petter More...

Family Martial Arts has a wonderful children's program that helps kids feel responsible and respectful. The options for adults are great too. The Karate is hard and fast and the Tai Chi is soft and slow. Students can develop their bodies, minds and spirits at Family Martial Arts. More...
