Mat had reached out to us after seeing a post on Facebook marketplace we were at our wits end with our pocket bully. No matter what we tried, nothing worked, and we were looking to rehome him when Matt called and had requested to let him come over so he could meet with the dog and see if there’s anything that he could do. Matt showed up with treats in hand and other training materials, met with our dog and started working with him immediately. We were at a loss when our Rottweiler and Pitbull-Mix kept causing endless trouble and one of them kept jumping the fence to leave the yard. Fortunately, Matteo came to our rescue. We had a wonderful experience with our instructor, Mateo. He is very knowledgeable and you can tell he loves what he does. Mateo was a godsend. Our rambunctious, strong and stubborn puppy was too much for us to handle. Mateo gave us tips on how to reinforce the training he did with him to break the bad habits (tugging, walking ahead, jumping on people, etc). He has a gift working with dogs. He is patient but also very effective. I asked him what made him want to do this for a living and he said he’s love of dogs and helping others. He is very dedicated and wonderful at what he does. I had a fantastic experience with Mateo as my dog's trainer. He's not only a nice person but also a skilled professional who knows what he's doing. Mateo kept me updated with videos of my dog's progress, which was reassuring. The training location was well-maintained, and all dogs seemed happy and loved!!

My dog did basic obedience training for three weeks and returned home with improved basic commands and he worked on leash manners. Mateo also provided valuable tips to travel with my dog and for when we returned home to have a smooth transition.

If you are looking for someone to train your little fur baby then look no further! We had such an amazing experience training our sweet boy with Matteo. Matteo always kept us updated on how our dog was doing over the course of him training and sending us videos so it didn’t feel like our baby was gone for too long. He is very helpful in inviting you over to train with him as well as your dog so you can see his progress and start to get a hang of what he has been working on. Matteo is very personable and easily likable. We have a great time going over to see him and have made a beautiful friendship in the process of getting our puppy trained. The training was no joke, our sweet fur baby came back a great listener and we could not be happier with the progress made through Matteo. Our dog used to not be the best listener and there was no way we ever thought we could be confident in letting him be off leash, but since we have gotten him back when we tell our dog to come he comes and sits at our feet and is very attentive to our voices when he is off leash now. Matteo was a huge help with our dog, when we first got our dog he had real anxiety issues from previous owners. Matteo helped turn that around and helped us give our dog the ability to understand commands and reduced his anxiety issues.

Cid came home today a transformed pup!! And I'm not just taking about size (boy did he grow, pic below of him laying on the floor is of this morning! !) He had no issues pooping outside (potty training was a big problem before), he knows sit, down, come and off (confirmed within minutes of being home, which is great considering how excited he was to be home) and is now crate trained. Not bad for a 2 week boot camp! We are so happy with the results.

Matt with Dogs and Stripes k9 training and boarding gave us videos and pictures to show us status and demonstrating how he taught the commands. Even helped us get him microchipped. He kept reminding us that we're now like family, and we can reach out to him with questions. He gave us great suggestions on how to care for our pup also (we have a very active puppy, that requires lots of activity).

We will definitely be coming back to Matt in the future for more training, doggy daycare some of the times I'm working from the PGA office and boarding.

Matteo has been awesome to work with. super responsive since day 1. you can tell he loves the dogs & his job.
I sent my month old puppy Wesson for 2 weeks. As soon as Matteo left, he took a huge poop in the corner & wouldn’t follow my commands😡. Turns out he was protesting having to leave from Matteo’s house. Day 2 at home and Wesson is doing great. completely crate trained & much more obedient. He even learned a couple tricks.

My husband and I recently had a baby. We have a 9yr old American Bulldog and a 10mo old Cane Corso. Neither dogs have been around babies or kids. Matteo was able to show us basic obedience training to practice with each dog to help correct their tense behavior with each other and around the baby. Jade 12 week old silver lab spent two weeks with Matteo, she came back a different dog. Jade listens better to simple commands, does not have accidents in house and just all around better behavior. Matteo sent videos throughout her training and provided great pointers for keeping her in right direction. You can tell much love given to your dog during this period. Matteo was awesome with our puppy Milo. We sought out Matteo due to needing help with obedience training as our mini Aussie was biting & jumping out of control. We just picked up Milo today, and we have definitely seen many improvements. Although Milo was only there for two weeks, Milo has definitely built a foundation for obedience and focusing. Amazing, has been such a rewarding experience for me! I have the sweetest Golden Retriever who is wonderful but having jumping up issues when people would come over! Got so excited whenever anyone came! Matteo worked with her and she came back a different pup! She’s 9 months old so still a puppy! You get what you pay for and Matteo’s training is definitely worth the price. But it’s not about the money when it come to Matteo, he genuinely cares about his craft and the dogs that he trains. I was skeptical at first, sending my Bruno away with a stranger for 2 weeks but Matteo was very open and quick to answer all of the questions I had PRIOR to me choosing him as my puppy’s trainer. He treats you like family from the start and that feeling never waivers. During the training, you’ll receive pictures and videos of your puppy’s progress and you can see how great of a trainer Matteo is. Ultimately he will do everything possible to make sure you are beyond satisfied with your puppy’s training. I definitely plan on using Matteo and his other services in the future and would recommend everyone to do the same. Wonderful experience ! She is there now and I get videos all the time! She is behaving and looks very happy! Matteo had slot of interaction and training with her and she really, really listens to him! That to me is a sign of an excellent trainer as the trust is there, not something you can make up or force on an animal! I researched where Zi was going to send her for a month before I chose Matteo as zI asked alit of specific questions that were very important to me for my dog, and didn’t get a lot of the answers that I was looking for. He was the only one that gave me the answers to the questions that I asked and specifics and I really appreciated that so this is why I picked him. He came up here from Palm Beach on a Sunday and picked her up for me and she is in Palm Beach right now doing training. Believe me I would not let her go with just anybody. She is a golden retriever and nine months old. She is still a puppy and does really well, but there were some issues with her training that I was unable to correct. Matteo was great with ziggy, our 4 month old yorkie. He has a great feel and way about himself with the dogs. He is the real world dog whisperer . I watched him take my little guy from just sitting to following 6 or 7 basic commands in the 2 weeks that he had him. My husband and I have a one year old golden retriever. Our golden whilst very sweet and our fur baby is very headstrong. We came to Matteo asking for help with his pulling (specially because I am 110 pound and our pup Milo is 74 pounds, so you could imagine our walks, one time he pulled so hard that I fell and hurt my knee) and with recall (living next to water with a golden that loves to swim and a really busy street this was a big concern for us) Matteo explained the different types of plans he had and how much they cost and my husband and I were able to send Milo in the two week training section. Here are all the positives that we experience working with Matteo: 1) From the begging he was kind, pleasant, honest and very accommodating with our schedule. 2) He picked up and dropped off Milo at the time established. (Again this was so important for us as my husband and I have difficult work schedules and Matteo lives more than and hour away from us, he was very cooperative) 3) He made us feel very comfortable by sending videos on regular basis as well as constant text on Milo’s progress. In his videos we could appreciate how not only he was training our fury one but also constantly giving him love and praises. 4) Matteo also was kind enough to provide us with the correct collar to continue with our pups training but he also gifted us a bag of treats he likes to work with. 5) At our pups drop off he spent an hour giving us a lesson on how to continue with Milo’s training. 6) Matteo went the extra mile once more by gifting my husband and I a batch of his special meat sauce. Delicious 🍽️😋🤤. Aftermath with Milo: what can I say, the pulling improved by 100 percent, I finally can walk with him without stressing, I wish I could attach a video of us walking before vrs now. His recall defiantly improved. Of course Matteo explained that we needed to keep working on both things with him for the next few weeks. We knew this ahead of time as we were only able to send Milo for two weeks and we had an idea that he needed more time. However, Matteo instilled a great base and set our pup up for success.
