I got DJ Billman's name and contact information through our wedding photographer (Ryan Merrill). We were planning a fairly small wedding on a more-than-fairly small budget. DJ Billman's prices were reasonable, and listed right on his website - which I like because it saves so much time. Another really cool thing is that once you send your initial deposit, you are assigned a login and password for your wedding project. There are forms you can fill out if you would like specific songs played at certain times of the reception (cake cutting, first dance, last dance, etc.) You can add and delete songs you definitely want played throughout the reception, songs you would like played if there is time, and songs you absolutely do not want. I am in my 40s and my hubby is in his 50s with kids in their 30s and we both had friends from various walks of life - so we had a wide variety of people with quite the range in musical taste to consider. I logged into DJ Billman's site, and every couple of days I would go in and add a song here and there in no particular order and basically told him "Here are all the songs we would like. Use your judgement when to play them and mix in anything else you think would be a good addition." I also found a song on the internet (that wasn't listed in his list of songs) that I wanted played when I walked down the aisle and he made it happen. He was FANTASTIC! We had a small dancefloor under a gazebo at an outdoor venue and it was literally packed the entire evening, with people dancing in other areas too! Everyone was having such a good time that we asked him to stay an extra hour, which he did. The next day I saw people out on the street and they were commenting that they were watching our wedding from their nearby hotel balconies and even THEY were having fun! We used Billman Productions for both our uplighting and custom monogram. Our wedding was last year in November at the Marriott hotel. We had salmon and coral lighting and the room looked beautiful. We also had them put a monogram with our names on the wall in between the salmon colored lights. Great choice and we were very happy with overall the way it looked. A concern we had was the wording on the monogram. We didn't know exactly how we wanted it but they had a good idea from some we sent them and made it look just how we had hoped. Just want to share a few great words about Florida Uplighting. You guys were so professional and nice on the phone. I called several places to get quotes for uplighting from 400,500 even 800 for a room of uplights. You were affordable and very easy to book. DJ Billman did an amazing job. He played almost everything on our list and MCed the entire not allowing it to flow nicely.
We were late of course and he still keep me on track and included all the things I request. I got tons of complements on my DJ. Dance floor was popping all night and my uplight was fabulous. I have 2 family members getting married and the wanted to know if DJ Billman and Amanda travel outside FL.
Amanda was amazing. I wanted to stick to my time line and kept giving her a hard time about stopping for photos (I was already late) but I am sure I am going to love the pictures I was trying to say no too. Together they are a powerful team and they enjoyed themselves as well.
All I can say is wonderful. You can get great quality and an affordable price because of vendors like them.
Personal note - I have been told my wedding was Epic, beautiful, pop all night and prefect. Could not have happened without you setting the tone and moving us right along. Thank you so very very much

DJ Billman was the DJ for my daughter's bat mitzvah. His office manager, Amanda, was extremely helpful, kind and returned all of my phone calls and inquiries - even BEFORE I booked them. The website is easy to navigate and my daughter was able to put in the songs that she wanted played directly online. I was able to establish a timeline for the party on line as well as going over everything with the DJ in person and over the phone. DJ Billman was a great MC and really kept the party flowing and right on schedule. My daughter was happy with him as well because he played all the songs her and her friends requested.
