Rip Off! Don’t waste your time or Money!
I started my dog in day care, not because I need anyone to watch him, but because I wanted him to socialize with other dogs. I went to Darragan’s after seeing their ad on FB. The place looked decent for the dogs (although it looked like an abandoned factory from the outside) and the owner seemed like she knew what she was doing BUT now I truly question this lady’s “experience” with dogs. She questioned me about DIRT that my dog had on his face from digging holes in the yard. She asked me to “explain the marks on his face, if you can”… what?? 10years of experience and can’t tell when a dog has dirt on his face? Anyone I’ve told about this reacted in the same way I did. Does this lady think I beat my dog?? Is that her first thought when a Hispanic brings a dog in???

My dog has gone consistently on time and has been picked up consistently on time. One day I got caught up with a client at work and had my friend pick him up instead. She ended up picking him up a few minutes late, and stated no one said anything to her. 3 weeks later I get charged DOUBLE the price of the half day- day care (usually $25). When I questioned her about the double charge, again NO communication from her about this AT ALL. Her response was “I believe your dog was picked up late the last time he was here and this is my late fee”….. WHAT??? $25 additional fee for being a few minutes late?? How do I end up paying $50 for a half day for being a few minutes late when the full day price is $45??? How am I paying MORE than the full day price??

I get things are tough nowadays, but there is NO reason why this lady is getting away with price gauging and feels ok with just pulling money out of your account without any communication!!!

Seriously, there are so many other and better dog care agencies out there.

My dog is at a new dog care agency, he is having so much fun! He is exposed to way more dogs, has a bigger field to play in and I can drop him off and pick him up anytime WITHOUT a late fee. And for the day? Only $20!! And OH the owner didn’t even CHARGE me for his first day!! Now THATS how you know that someone GENUINELY cares about the work they do, the dogs, and their owners’ needs!
