I would absolutely recommend Christina P after having her work with me for about a year. She creates a very open space to talk about anything and everything that is bothersome to you. She is a great listener and is very genuine about wanting to help others resolve their issues or to just be an open ear with no judgement. Talking to someone removed from your immediate situation helps immensely... and to have that someone be Christina is a cherry on top. 6/5 if I could. More...

Two of my classmates are working in this place! Hannah and Richard were top students in my cohort; both of them were recognized by Wheaton faculty and rewarded for their psychological research! I know how passionate they are about adolescents! It is crazy because not so many counselors want to work with teens! They are both extremely relational, thoughtful, caring, and warm. Hannah is very culturally sensitive! She was the most supportive of international students in our cohort. Hannah has a very warm and loving personality, you will want to tell her everything because she is very reliable and trustful. Richard is such a great role model for teen boys! He cares a lot about nurturing and helping young boys to grow into strong men. He is a strong advocate for their needs. Both of these guys are also volunteers in their communities. More...

I have been in counseling for 3 months now and have been incredibly pleased. My therapist Hannah makes me feel comfortable and understood whilst giving me highly insightful feedback. My entire life I have struggled with a phobia and only now am I able to function in the real world without my crippling fear. Every week I look forward to our time of talking and interacting. The only way I can describe it is that I give her the complicated puzzle pieces that are me and she helps to put them together piece by piece. More...

Deb F. is an amazing person and counselor. She has, and continues to, provide new insight and offer excellent advice. Deb has a gift for seeing through the surface of a problem, and pin pointing the actual root. This skill allows her to help me confront my problems head on, while still being empathetic, kind, and supportive. It was immediately clear that she had my best interests in mind because she asked questions to learn about all of my concerns. I was skeptical about counseling, but now I recommend Cedar Tree to all. This has been a super helpful resource for various ones in our family - from kids with certain kinds of unique special needs to adults with our own particular struggles. It is a safe, affirming atmosphere, with insightful counselors/therapists who have been patient, supportive and welcoming. Having 'been around the block' of the therapy world, and being often discouraged to find lacklustre/mediocre therapists at times, I would recommend wholeheartedly Cedar Tree to anyone who recognizes a need for compassionate care to navigate the many pitfalls life presents. I was skeptical of counseling at first, but Cedar Tree Counseling and Matt in particular, have completely changed my perspective. Life can be very difficult at times -- and if you are struggling and/or hurting in any way-- as I was-- and need someone to talk to, someone who will listen, and someone who will offer Godly, Christ-centered wisdom, I encourage you to make that initial call to Matt--- it will be life-changing! Matt is caring and compassionate and has challenged me in many areas of my life and has helped me see things in ways I never saw before. My time spent in counseling with Matt is something I look forward to greatly.

The team at Cedar Tree Cousneling truly understands how important it is for us individuals, to be able to find that safe space where we can process life and be reminded that we are not alone. I am allowed to be my broken self without being judged or fixed. Here I had felt heard and understood and I really appreciate that. They hold that space very graciously.
The office is very peaceful, and as soon as I walk through the door I can feel an invitation to calm and I know I am safe.
Mathew has been such a blessing to me and my family. I can not say enough about how sitting with him and having a vulnerable and honest conversation, has empowered me to develop more self compassion and has challenged me to rethink and relearn things in my life. Because of that, I believe I am starting to see my perspective shifting into a much better place.
Thanks Matt and Cedar Tree Couseling for great service and compassion.
