Today was my sons first trial day. He is 3 years old and one of the youngest in his class. The teacher opened him with open arms and was very good with him throughout the class giving him reminders. I was so surprised my son listened to most of his directions although with multiple reminders The children as well were so sweet and good with my son. this place doesn't deserve 5 stars. It deserves MORE than 5 stars. Went to Black Hole Jiu Jitsu while on vacation in New York. Professor Mike is an awesome and dedicated instructor who openly let me train during the duration of the time I was out here. Most importantly all of the students there from white to brown welcomed me with open arms which made training there a memorable and fun experience. Mike is a patient kind and experienced instructor. My family is at ease and at home at this gym. Something you will see here that's different than other gyms is the attention that's given to each student. Often, there is partiality and attention given to some students and those that have been in their home gym for some time. Not here. Mike is caring and devoted to making all of his students confident and qualified and welcome. My daughter (8) loves it here- and my boys, 12 and 14, have become better boxers and have settled in to feel at home and welcome at Black Hole , whereas, they have felt out of place at other gyms. AMAZING SCHOOL AND TEAM! I had the chance to stop in and train while in the area for work. Most school can be intimidating for new students, especially when you train and drop in.
The training was top notch, everyone was friendly and helpful and I got one heck of a workout.
If you want to try something new and different that will challenge you then BJJ is your choice. If you want a fun, friendly and inviting atmosphere where the people make you feel like family from the minute you walk in then Blackhole BJJ is your best choice! I wish I lived closer to make it there regularly.
