I came for a day -pass to the swimming pool, with my two year old...the pool and jacuzzi are fine ..but the cleanliness of the place is subpar , the locker room & bathrooms are disgusting. .. They tell you to take off your shoes for the pool area , but not one time did I see anyone mop or sanitize the area .For a place that caters to kids and families , cleanliness and safety are number 1. ..not to mention they could make it more convenient for parent. Have a place to purchase towels, shower caps,etc. In the locker area, instead of asking your customer to walk all the way to the lobby soaking wet with a toddler ...they must think of the user friendliness of the facility . The gym is always clean, the lady manager always calls me by my name and is very friendly. I noticed rhe staff is only nice when management is around.
I also had to stop using the pool because of rhe excessive chlorine.
I moved so I joined a new gym and I have to say I miss Astoria Complex.

I had my son's 10th birthday party there and it was amazing!!! They took care of everything. Planning, hosting, serving, you name it. All I had to do was pay them lol. My son's birthday party was a hit! We did the bubble balls and the bouncy area. The hostess was great. The planner was cool, and efficient, everything went smoothly. The suff are very rude.looks like the owner doesn't care what people they hire to run this funny place .so arrogant women on the front desk. .. can't wait my membership to get over ..you feel like police is chasing you from the front door ..and all the time been watched if you do wrong ..rules are different depends on the funny women stuff mood or if they like you or not...some members have privilege and they show you directly you are not one of the those special members..unbelievable ..they got some favorite member and the rest they treat as idiots. I have been a member for little over 3 years. I really enjoy coming to this gym, very clean (cleaner then any gym I have been in Astoria over the years), full equipment and very spacious. The classes are really good (particularly I love Yozo's yoga classes) and the best thing is it doesn't cost fortune to be a member ( including the pool ) and this is a family business so it's awesome to support the community. I really really like this gym. I've been to so many gyms in my lifetime, nothing beats this gym. They have all the equipment, a lot of machines, they have a pool and the price is unbeatable. I have been to a couple of birthday parties here and my son take swimming lessons here. There is a large exercise room and a small indoor soccer area. The instructors are very helpful, patient and accommodating. It can be a little pricey however and the clerks at the front desk aren't the friendliest. There's a large window where parents can watch their children swim but there is very little seating. So be prepared to stand during their lesson. More...

I bring my child for soccer lessons here. The classes are great, the instructors are a lot of fun. After seeing the place for soccer, we book my child's birthday party. It was a last minute decision to come here my daughter turning 7 years old and her party was suppose to be outside and the weather said thunderstorm. I wasn't expecting much so i come here to see what they have for the weekend. I had quickly read a few yelp reviews figured what the heck let's try it! I'm glad we did! I had very few expectations so I/we were pleasantly surprised! Right off the bat I noticed the young people that work here are so nice & helpful. They seem to enjoy their jobs. The place is large & the price is right. There are several different areas Basketball area, obstacle course, large area with bounce from one to the other, something similar to a ball Pool where the kids trampoline into a huge pool and jacuzzi.
