I can't say enough good things about Andrew Gause's program. My son attended the summer camp and now is in the after-school program every day. The instructors are wonderful with the kids. In addition to Martial Arts training, they work regularly with the kids on developing respect, focus, discipline, and building self esteem. But they also keep it fun and lighthearted with activities like dodge ball, games and Friday movies. They are vigilant and organized during dropoff and pickup. And the instructors occasionally send postcards in the mail with words of encouragement, which just blows me away. More...

I have seen so much change in my sons physical capabilities, but more importantly he has shown so much more confidence and respect. The classes and overall program for young children are very organized and the instructors are amazing. My son is always eager to go to class and loves telling/showing me everything he's learned. I very rarely write recommendations, but I have found myself compelled to do so in this instance. Andrew Gause’s Martial Arts is a phenomenal school that combines the best of martial arts with character and confidence building. My son’s journey with Taekwondo began when he was four and ended abruptly when he was eight after experiencing a sparring competition resembling something out of a Karate Kid movie. Encouraged by a friend to try again when he was twelve, he returned to a sport he had truly loved. Through a series of exceptional masters he climbed his way back from a white belt to a red, only to have our military family move him yet again. This time though the stakes were higher, my son was competing at a national level in Taekwondo sparring and desperately needed an experienced instructor to guide him into his black belt. Master Gause stepped up to that plate and at every turn has provided wisdom and guidance to my son as his journey into Olympic level sparring has taken place. Through multiple ups and down, Master Gause has made himself available both in person and over the phone to address all of our concerns. Master Gause and his staff always take the time to listen to their students concerns, whether taekwondo related or not. He further provides an exceptional martial arts experience where the core tenants of honor, discipline and hard work thrive. Not only is Master Gause building strong martial artists, he is building children with strength of character and self confidence. The school, staff and Master Gause himself have helped my child spread his wings and soar. I can not thank them enough for all of their expertise and guidance along his young journey towards attaining his dream of Olympic gold. More...

My son has attended classes at Andrew Gause for about 6 months. He loves it and gets a great workout. I love the extra "talks" Master Andrew has with the kids about respect and positive attitudes. All of the instructors truly seem to love what they do. We also wound up at a fundraising event for school at Chuck e Cheese on the same day that Andrew Gause's summer camp was there. Our teachers were blown away at the discipline and respect the campers showed (especially in a place as chaotic as Chuck e Cheese). The teachers couldn't believe how every child in such a large group sat patiently and waited for lunch and that the noise level was totally reasonable. I think every teacher commented on how impressed they were with the behavior of the campers. More...

We can not speak highly enough about the Tigers program. I have seen kids transformed before my eyes. I have seen the instructors hold a kids hand the entire class to help her through her shyness and within a month that same kid was progressing and smiling like she owned the place. The instructors have a unique ability to get eye to eye level with the kids and help them talk through their struggles. Since joining about five months ago, I have physically gotten into great shape, built stamina, and have become more flexible. And although this may be a little silly to say as an adult, it has boosted my self-confidence, focus, and determination about everything in life. Andrew Gause’s Martial Arts- An Exceptional School Worth the DriveSurprised and delighted at how blessed we are by this talented team of instructors! Our family of four from age 7 to 54 each came to Andrew Gause’s Martial Arts with different expectations- my son to have fun sparring, my daughter to break things and learn to defend herself, me for self-defense and a challenge, and my husband to exercise and be with family. We all agree that we love coming to this dojang and are getting so much more that we expected! Andrew Gause’s has found the perfect balance in so many areas- discipline and compassion, physical fitness (stretching, strength, agility) and mental fitness (meditation & character education), the art of martial arts and practical self-defense, competition and fun. A further sign of the quality of this school- the amount of accomplished martial artists that it attracts and retains as students and on staff. The instructors are all great. They model what they teach and it never feels stale. Don’t settle for a convenient, average marital arts place; this place is amazing! More...

My six year old son wanted to learn martial arts, so I signed him up for 5 sessions at his school and he loved it and wanted to continue his learning. He continued for few more months and joined the after school martial arts program. I signed him up for Summer camp, but he couldn't attend it because he was sick for a whole week. He was really sad. I'm Korean and all my friends don't understand why I have my son attending non-Korean owned Tae Kwon Do-Jang. Andrew Gause's Martial Arts school has varieties of programs and flexible schedules to meet demanding school and parents' work schedules. Instructors are caring and professional. Their constant teaching about self discipline and respect, carries into daily lives. My son was always shy and nervous in front of other people, but his self confidence has gone up. Our six-year-old son has been a student at Andrew Gause’s Martial Arts for seven months now, and we have been delighted with the results. While there are a couple of martial arts centers closer to our home, we are glad we chose Andrew Gause: what has impressed us about their program is the focused personal attention they have given our son, combined with the professionalism and accessibility of the dedicated instructors and staff. Our son started the school year as a somewhat shy/insecure boy who also needed a little help focusing; seven months and two belts later, the discipline and self-confidence Andrew Gause’s team has instilled in him has greatly improved his concentration and drive. His desire to improve himself now shows itself in his schoolwork and at home. Each day he can’t wait to talk about what he’s done in Martial Arts, and the lessons he’s learning there are a nice complement to what he’s learning in school. Since we are enrolled in the after-school program full-time, she gets all day camps on teacher work days, and even snow days (at no extra charge!) They provide martial arts instruction every day, time to work on homework, and playtime each afternoon. It really is the highlight of my daughter's day.She LOVES all the teachers and loves the classes. I've been a life-long enthusiast of Martial Arts and when my daughter expressed interest in training, it was easy selecting Andrew Gause's MA over other options out there. I already checked them out in the past and the studio is one of the most professionally run, well maintained, kid's oriented programs in the area.Andrew's has a deep bench of qualified instructors who are cordial and work great with children. Their facilities are very clean and I always appreciate how they keep their mats very clean (something you don't see in every studio). The program of instruction is very organized, documented, with clearly learning standards, and pathways. The school provided equipment is also top notch for the intended purpose. They offer a turnkey solution - all your needs are addressed by their program and provided equipment.Another facet I haven't taken advantage of is the diverse and convienent options for alternative daycare solutions: After School Program (with pick-up), Summer Camps, ad hoc Day Camps when there are snow days and/or school closures, and fun evening activities so parents can get out for a date night. However, the most important detail is my Daughter loves going to class, has fun evertime, and is always excited to go train and practice at home. I love the enthusiasm she has for TKD and accolades for the instructors. I've also found the staff to be very understanding and flexible to help work around a busy family's schedule to meet promotion scheduling requirements. Highly Recommended!!! More...

They also gave us a discount for having more than one family member take classes. Classes are twice a week and it really is a class for all skill levels. I love that my daughter and I take classes together. Before I started I could not have done 10 push ups but now I can! We have both benefited physically but also mentally and emotionally from taking classes. Hi. I'm a 41 year old mom with a 6 year old kindergarten girl who has been in the Andrew Gause Martial Arts program for almost 3 months. I feel that writing a review is one way we can thank the Andrew Gause team!! We've had an extremely positive experience. My daughter loves the classes! For some background here, she is a strong willed and highly enthused 6-yr-old who thrives on discipline and structure. My natural character, however, doesn't quite match hers and I have to work hard to give her that sense of control in the world and in her day. (She's more like her dad :-) Andrew Gause's program offers the balance that I need as a semi-laid back parent and that my kid needs as a structure-loving child. Andrew Gause is neither "militant" nor passive in approach. I describe them to my family/friends as "commanding with care." They expect respect for oneself, instructors, friends and guardians but not through fear. Rather, it's accomplished with an attitude of "respect is just how we do it here and it's expected... so, let's have some fun learning how to kick!!" I really could go on and on. Basically, the Andrew Gause program has turned out to be the best gift we could give to her (and us!) as it is building her self-confidence in a healthy, fun and structured way. She is seeing (beyond our doors and her school) how to treat herself and others. Also important... I was relieved that Andrew Gause offered us a FREE MONTH trial! I was hoping my kid would like it, but what if she had hated it?!! I was at ease that we didn't hand over our money for a month to have her quit it after a week! You never know at this age!! So, as it was highly recommended to us by neighbors with three girls in the Andrew Gause classes --- We highly recommend it to others who have given martial arts training any consideration. More...
