Everyone is welcoming and inviting. There is a very strong family/ team oriented atmosphere. The are very knowledgeable in the arts (even world class martial artists). They not only help students identify strengths and weaknesses as a martial artist but some classes are tailored to help students progress in their journey as martial artists. I came into 10th planet from having a gi only background and was nervous about nogi and competing. Immediatly Birchak and Mercedes were so supportive, informative, and such a great positive energy. They are always there for you with amazing details to perfect your game. They are also always in your corner in life and in competition. Since there have been more women signing up, the womens classes on the weekends are a life saver and a safe haven for women who want to give BJJ a try without feeling insecure. 10th planet Tucson is a serious gym full of awesome people looking to learn, improve, and grind out their jiu jitsu skills.
