My favorite place during summer. Not only I get to train and improve my body, I also get to learn more about fitness and how to properly train to get the right results. For the past few months, I have been dealing with back pain mainly due to being very active playing basketball ( what can I say, I love the sport! ). It has got to the point that I can no longer play the sport because of my back issue. I have seen my doctor countless times and all they typically do is, x-rays and medicine. Since I'm in my early 40's, I don't want to keep masking the problems over and over again, I just want to get this fixed!Feeling of despair, I started looking up a personal trainer/physical therapist on Yelp. I came across Tony Tran Fitness, who caught my eye based on the positive reviews from other customers. I really like Tony's Tran Fitness based on this and the fact that he works with his clients on a one to one basis. Other places seem to be more of a group environment and that's not what I was looking for.Making that decision, I gave Tony a call and he was very professional over the phone. I explained to Tony my situation and he asked if I had time to stop by so he can evaluate my physical condition. After an hour of his physical assessments, Tony smiled and said he can definitely help me. He showed me a few stretches to do at home and corrected a few stretches that I was doing incorrectly this whole time. Before I left, he asked me to hop onto the massage table so he can help me stretch out my hip flexor and other muscles that were irritating my lower back muscles.  As soon as I got off the table, I felt instant relief around my lower back. Although this was just temporary, the pain was definitely a lot less than it was before. What a difference!Tony suggested that I sign up for 10 sessions with him. I told him I wanted to sleep on it before I am committed to it. At no giving time, I wasn't pressured by him in any given way to sign up at all. That night was the 1st night in 3 months I actually had a good night sleep. As soon as I woke up, I felt different, that constant nagging dull pain at the center of my lower back was gone. Although that dull pain was gone, I was still dealing with the annoying, but much fewer aches and pains around the other areas of my lower back. It made me realize that my back definitely has a lot more problems than I originally thought. I decided to take up Tony's suggestion and signed up for the 10 sessions and boy I'm glad that I did!  By the 5th session, I was completely pain-free! Even though it is the right step on my journey to my physical health, working with Tony, I realized that I still have a lot of work to do and do not want to end up like this again.  Tony is not only excellent at what he does but very knowledgeable regarding health and fitness. He is very passionate and genuinely wants you to be healthy and strong. Overall he is just a great person and  I would definitely recommend him! Thanks, Tony!!!! More...

And once again working with Tony has exceeded my expectations.I just got to say that I'm blown away again by his commitment level always trying to inspire and motivate you and to help reach my goal he customized My work out due to some injuries felt like I was starting all over again but Tony has continued to really care about my well-being just a genuine person

Tony is a great trainer. He's very knowledgeable and really focuses on tailoring the training program not only to my personal goals, but to areas on my body he sees that need to be strengthened. I'm not one to write reviews but this one definitely needed. If you're in the beginning stages of your fitness journey I highly recommend investing in Tony's personal training program. He educates you thoroughly continuously so that moving forward you have a better understanding of how your body works, how nutrition will play in your specific body and goals considered and so much more. Also guides you through MyFitnessPal and macros for you PERSONALLY. Not only that he guides you through HIS OWN efficient fitness app that is personalized for you solely that has workouts included as well. I started my journey almost a year ago exactly and I'm down -33lbs. With Tony, for almost 4-5 weeks, I've lost weight AND body fat percentage (about 7%~ closer to my bodyfatpercentage goal) and NOW because of him I have a better comprehension how to achieve my goals with the gain of all the knowledge he has taught me THUS far that is personalized for me. I've had lower back pain for months and I cannot express the amount of inconvenience it has given my life. Two to three sessions with Tony's help and his knowledge I can genuinely say it's been days where I don't have ANY lower back pain at all. Compared to going months and months everyday in pain. Even with an injury we've been able to control the pain and move forward in my fitness journey without having it put things on hold.I'm excited for the results I'll be getting with the rest of our sessions we have and will come back with another before/after picture and an update with my experience. Overall, if you're in the beginning stages of a fitness journey and you're ready to get serious about your results but contemplating on the jump, I 100% recommend investing in his program! Tony follows up to ensure your eating is on track and will even educate you on how to properly prepare meals to fit your goals and lifestyle. Your health is very important to Tony. He really takes his time getting to know you and will notice ways to improve your body that you probably haven't even paid attention to. I work a full-time desk job and due to being in a sitting position most of the day my hips became extremely tight and shoulders were rounding and I didn't even realize those thing were happening. Tony showed me exercises to help counter that. I've learned so much from working with him and my body is much stronger which I love! Before training with Tony, I would follow the usual cardio and weights routine at the gym. I've been training with him for about 5 months and have seen great results along with gaining knowledge of form, technique and lifestyle changes. He's kept me motivated and accountable without being aggressive or pushy. There isn't really a shortcut to being "fit" or "cut" and Tony helps you understand what you have to do in and out of the gym to accomplish your goals. Thanks, Tony! More...

I had the chance to workout with Tony he took the time to ask if I had any problems and adjusted the workouts.  He used his massage gun on my shoulders and it was great.  He worked with me on my form and just overall management with body position for less injuries.  Told me some workouts I should avoid doing because exercise changes and some older workouts might not be as good for the body anymore.  Tony a trainer that also trains that is the most important for me.  Knowledge and application with himself too. I trained with Tony for about 9 months. The only reason I stopped is I had a devastating fall at work and could no longer train. However he is one of the good guys. His approach to health and fitness helped me to pay attention not only to fitness, but to diet as well. While necessarily tough, he listens and knows how to tailor fitness and diet to his clients specific situation. I highly recommend Tony to anyone wanting to learn not only how to sculpt their bodies (especially in the problem areas) but how to eat right to go along with their fitness regime! More...

I had been training on my own for about 30 years and I was very strong, and lifted very heavy weights (bench 410lbs).  I avoided aerobic training because it initiated pain my back after I having back surgery.    Despite my best effort to minimize my back pain through training, by the end of each day I had so much pain in my lower back I would have to take a muscle relaxer and Vicodin to go to sleep at night.  I met Tony Tran in November 2015, after some discussions with him about my training program and pain issues I decided to give him an opportunity as my personal trainer to see if he could help minimize the my lower back pain.  He focused the training program specifically to my body's needs.  He found areas my body was out of balance, tight, and some areas that were surprisingly weak.  He taught me many different stretches and ways to perform aerobic exercise without initiating pain, as well as setting up corrective exercises for my specific needs.  After about 2 months of religiously following the program my lower back pain was minimized so I no longer need muscle relaxers and Vicodin to sleep at night.  Tony had much more success minimizing my lower back pain than all my doctors, physical therapist, and chiropractors  combined.  I continue to use the program and I remain pain free.  I highly recommend Tony as a personal trainer.  He has a special skill to read your body and the knowledge to design an effective program to address your specific needs. At 60 years old, retiring after rotator-cuff surgery, I was ready to get back into shape and lose those unwanted pounds that crept up on me over the years. I am a mother of 3 children, I've always exercised, but over the years not as much as I did in my younger years. I did try to walk on a regular basis...and eat as healthy as possible....Tony approached me at the gym. I told him how I was struggling with gaining strength and movement back in my shoulder and all the pain I was experiencing afterwards. He offered to give me a consultation to see if he could help me. I was skeptical but thought, why not? After our consultation I was sold! His knowledge overwhelmed me and honestly, I have to live in this body, hopefully for many more years, so it was worth it to me to invest in myself!  The first few months were a slow go. Everything hurt and I realized how really out of shape I was. Tony gave me a weekly exercise plan as well as tools to use to get on a better eating plan. He educated me on how to properly stretch and the correct way to use the machines at the gym. He introduced exercise tools to use when not at the gym.  I never would have dreamed I would get my body back to where it is now, if I didn't have Tony's gentle guidance and encouragement!  He instilled in me the drive and the desire to reach beyond what I thought I was capable of at my age!  I finally dropped 2 sizes in my clothes from size 12 to 10! That was a huge milestone for me and people noticed!I highly would recommend Tony "in a heartbeat"!  He is an exceptional trainer and extremely knowledgeable!I still hear him in my head-pushing me to the next level!Love you Tony! Tony is amazing and passionate at what he does. Whether training with him in person or through his fitness app, both in which I've been privilege enough to do - you will get great results if you follow through. He isn't one of those trainers who just trains you for an hour and that's it. He guides you through the whole weight loss process, explaining why each exercise is good for you and the foods you should be consuming in order to reach your weight loss goals. He links himself up in the apps you use so that he can see the foods you're eating and see the exercises you're doing and checks in every week to see how you're doing. He is always available to answer any questions about exercises and food and what you can do to better yourself and constantly encourages you to ask questions. Tony got me from 30% body fat down to 16% body fat in a matter of months!!! I definitely wouldn't have achieved this on my own.  I usually like doing HIIT type work outs/indoor spin classes and Tony really pushed my limits and made me realize my body's potential. I set a goal that I wanted to reach in 8 months and Tony did a amazing job pushing me and training me to reach my goal. I have had many trainers in the past and never got the result I wanted.  I have to say Tony worked out muscles that I didn't even know existed.
