Understanding what the screening recruiter is looking for in a CV is the key aspect to a good CV, and I've been the gate keeper - screening recruiter for many years - well 30 ! Initially I will ask for a copy of any existing CV's you may have, feedback on my thoughts on them, and quote a price to support you to help maximise its impact - rewriting parts as required. My record for helping someone get a job - 56 year old man who didn't have a CV when I met him, 23 hours... previous record being 25 hours. Some free advice - think of your CV as being the answer paper to an exam question - I screen CV's in under 10 seconds, and tell you in a job advert what I want to know about you so... Job Advert = Exam Question which means your CV is the answer paper. Ask yourself a question, if the exam question changes? Should not also your answer paper? And if you get to interview - is that not your spoken exam? so by reviewing your exam question (job advert), you can usually spot likely areas of questioning. Helping with interview prep I can carry out either via telephone, Skype, or face-to-face and I am good at predicting questions and helping to prepare answers to potential questions..
