I've used Xtract accounting for just over a year now I believe. I attempted to do all my own accounting and bookkeeping initially to keep costs down of running my own business, which Gordon had accomodated very well with his costing. I have since gotten busier and have asked Gordon to take on more of that side of things. Everyhing is always above board and deadlines are hit well in advanced for VAT quarterly returns, my corp tax etc. I'm definitely not the easiest client to deal with I'm sure but it is great knowing everything is taken care of and most of the time, I just have a document to sign. Often times I'll also recieve some nice emails with tips and tricks on how to save money, cut my tax down and get more from the business. The monthly FD service and the annual one at the end of the year are also nice touches which help remind you of growth and see where things are good and not so good (kind of a financial report). What do you love most about your job?

What inspired you to start your own business?
After almost 12 years of working for accountancy practices of varying sizes, I realised that small business accountancy needs had changed significantly in that time, and yet, the traditional practice had not adapted to that change - the relationship between accountant and client remained a once-a-year 'here's your accounts and out-of-date tax advice' kind of relationship.
So I decided to change the game and gave birth to Xtract Accounting - a specialist small business accountants who maintain close client relationships, with services that offer proactive and insightful advice all year round. Why? Because annual tax advice will always be too late! Even the Companies Act 2006 says so!

We are nationwide accountants who provide online/remote only proactive small business accountancy services. We provide our clients with free access to FreeAgent, the multi-award winning Cloud Accounting Software. Plus your dedicated accountant will always be on hand to provide you with simple, relevant and jargon-free advice and support via email and telephone.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
As our accountancy services are 100% online/remote, our clients will be entirely safe from Covid-19.
Monthly 'FD' Service
Our Monthly ‘FD’ Service sees us take on the more proactive role of Finance Director for your business.
In addition to the traditional role of accountant, we will provide you with regular financial performance reviews and advice, plus proactive tax advice to help you maximise your tax efficiency. Why? Because annual tax advice will always be too late!
This service is full of fantastic benefits, including:
• Free access to easy-to-use cloud accounting software, provided by multi-award winners, FreeAgent,
• Your very own dedicated accountant,
• Regular deadline reminders,
• Regular future tax estimates, and
• Unlimited ad-hoc advice and support (subject to fair use.)
We will even prepare and submit the Self-Assessment tax Return for the principal Director at no extra charge!
And all for a fixed monthly fee starting from £38 per month.
Additional services can be added, including:
• Bookkeeping,
• VAT Returns,
• Registered Office Facility, and
• Additional Directors.
Need a new company? Save 40% off our Company Formation service! (subject to minimum 12-month commitment).
Company Formation Service
We'll get to know you and your personal circumstances, before suggesting a suitable structure for your new Limited Company that will ensure you can maximise tax efficiency right from day one.
Once you're happy to proceed, we'll complete the necessary registrations with both Companies House and HMRC and provide you with paper and digital copies of the fully completed statutory paperwork.
We can even protect your privacy with our Registered Office service.
So the only thing you'll need to worry about is choosing a company name!
All for a one-off fixed fee of £199.
Registered Office Address Service
Exclusively available to Limited Companies registered in England and Wales, we'll register an alternative address at Companies House for both you and your Limited Company, thereby protecting your privacy and increasing your security by preventing your residential address from being on view to creditors and the general public.
We'll even handle all official mail received at the address and securely destroy all junk mail.
All for an annual fee of £60. That's just £1.16 a week!
Self-Assessment Tax Return Service
We can help individuals to prepare and submit their annual Self-Assessment Tax Return's to HMRC for as little as £95. Enquire for details.
