Criminal and fraudulent scam artists, appalling tradesmen and service. I have been threatened with physical violence and damage to my property. DO NOT HIRE.

I engaged Wilson Roofing for their "extensive experience" to repair the verge end of my roof and reseal the chimney. I was initially quoted a price far exceeding the value of works, but proceeded under the assurance that this was normal for a job this "complex". (I have since been informed it wasn't by 3 other tradesmen). They immediately increased the value based on spurious claims that the roof was in worse condition than first anticipated - it would take "twice as long as originally planned" - the final quoted price I could have replaced my entire roof for!! The works carried out were far below standard specifications set out in the contract, including not using lead to seal the chimney, not correctly installing roofing felt, incorrectly cutting tiles so leaving holes in the roof, leaving debris and mess, and not correctly installing the roofing felt. No doubt as a result of their shoddy workmanship, they "completed" the job faster than in the original scope of works. I had paid 50% deposit by the stage and was unhappy with the works so, as is my legal right, I queried the final cost. As a result, I was threatened with physical violence and damage to my property. I have since informed the police and trading standards, I have had no response from Sean or Mick, there has been no attempt to amicably resolve this or repair the works.

I am undoubtedly not the first person for this to happen to, their habit is to overcharge and overquote then threaten you to pay up if you question their work, they are criminals masquerading as legitimate tradesmen. I have sought 2nd and 3rd opinions on the works, I have had to hire another tradesman to fix the roof, they have all been shocked at the appalling work and service. DO NOT HIRE. More...

Very disappointing service from Wilson Roofing & Building Ltd today - over charged and poor service - Three-man team turned up late to start the roofing work, only for two for the team to disappear for 3 hours leaving one man on site. Scope to clean off moss from ridge tiles and valleys, together with re-cementing same. My expectations bedded mortar, Sean & Mike’s pointing! General outcome unhappy customer. Work was as promised and professional

I had water coming in to my bedroom and I called the guys at wilson. Thankfully sean was able to come out very quickly because it was an emergency. They found where the water was coming in and stop the leak. Thanks again sean and his great team. More...
