I recently had Matt and team in to create a new downstairs cloakroom from part of my hallway. I am very happy with the result, especially since another company who came to quote told me it couldn't be done!
It was a complex project requiring a variety of trades, including a new window and adjustments to the stairs in addition to more standard bathroom requirements. I really appreciated Matts' contacts, and was very impressed with standard of work from all the trades, as well as the way he clearly requires them to leave the house in good condition at the end of the day! Matt did a great job overseeing it all, including liaising with the council regarding building control, and keeping things moving, with the whole project taking about 2 weeks, as had previously been agreed.
I was grateful for the attention to detail, such as sourcing a second hand period door to fit with the others in the house, as well as accommodating my slightly bizarre request around routing of the waste!
As the build progressed, there were a couple of issues, but as I fed these back to Matt he was very willing to accommodate wherever possible. These were mainly related to the cosmetic appearance of the cloakroom, and I was glad that I was able to keep an eye on this side of things every evening when I got home from work in addition to Matt' project managing, as the trades were understandably very much the top priority in the build.
It was nice to see that even after I paid in full, Matt offered his help in chasing up the electrical certificate if this didn't arrive in good time, although thankfully this was never needed.
Overall, I am really happy with the beautiful and well functioning downstairs cloakroom Matt and the team put in. For me, the particular benefit of using TradeUpgrade was the ability to go to a single organist but get the expertise of a variety of high quality tradesmen, whose work was all coordinated into one smooth whole. Great job from start to finish. Starting from having a hole in our bathroom floor (due to our old bathroom leaking) we now have a bathroom that anybody would be proud of. The experience of working with Kris, Matt has been great and we couldnt recommend them more. They really went out of their to keep things moving along quickly whilst ensuring that all work was completed to a high standard. We lived with an outdated 1920’s bathroom for 20 years because we knew what a difficult job it would be to put a new one in (lead pipes, cast iron bath and tiles concreted on to name just a few of the challenges) We chose TradeUpgrade LTD because they could do the whole job with no contracting out. The fitter was a chap named Matt he is Polish, his workmanship was first class and he suggested a couple of improvements to the installation as he worked on it. After spending a lot of time researching different bathroom companies we decided to go ahead with TradeUpgrade LTD. We were not disappointed! Mark was very helpful and thorough with the initial visit and design and Jamie was an absolutely superb fitter! They completely replaced and renovated our bathroom, en-suite and cloakroom. Jamie had an exceptional eye for detail, he was a real perfectionist. He was always happy to offer his advice which we were very grateful for as he knows his trade extremely well. With our young family, Jamie was always very considerate, friendly and understanding. He worked consistently hard to make sure that everything was exactly as it should be and ensured that everywhere was left clean and tidy - very impressive. The finished results on all three of our bathrooms are amazing - everything we had hoped for.
