Had our wedding reception at West rocks, staff were amazing! went here after work for dinner managed to get a table without booking (bonus), such a fantastic meal. We had steak on the stone, allowing us to have it cooked to our own taste with a side dish of mushroom sauce that complemented the steak like no other we have had in any other establishment. The staff are polite, friendly, helpful & happy to have a chat they are a credit to this restaurant. The channel restaurant is situated inside the West Rocks Hotel and is open to the general public, we will be returning to try the other hidden gems on this robust menu but will make sure we book to avoid any chance of not being able to get a table More...

Had a lovely meal tonight with some friends. Between us we have the tuna, king prawns and the ham hock starters of which they were all perfect. . the mains were a mixture of crab linguine, lamb rump, fresh tuna and Rib eye steak both cooked on lava stones.. I have never cooked on a lava stone before and I was pleasantly surprised how gentle it cooked my steak, served with a salad,and fries to share as a side. When we got to desserts it seemed rude not to try them so with had one of each and shared a passion fruit panna cotta with honeycomb Ice cream, rhubarb crumble with rhubarb Ice cream, lemon cheesecake and peach upside down cake with a dark rum cream, and believe me, we cleared the plates... Would I recommend this restaurant, definitely, the price and the portions are spot on and are well worth it.. it's a hidden gem and people need to know about it... Don't walk past if you are hungry.... Go in. You won't regret the decision More...

Enjoyed a relaxed evening meal with friends overlooking Eastbourne seafront. I had the tiger prawns starter followed by the lamb main. Service was friendly and attentive, food was well presented and delicious. Children on the table next to us were spoilt by the staff so we're definitely taking our kids the next time we go! Had the best time at the west rocks hotel! It was amazing the whole place was spotless, the staff were lovely greeted us as we entered. The food was also fantastic especially the full English ��� The staff were very polite and courteous the prices in the bar were very very reasonable! I would most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of going there you will be made to feel at home a totally looked after. Without doubt the friendliest and most welcoming hotel I've ever stayed at. From reception/bar staff/waiters n waitresses and of course the the owner himself. Just got back from West rock's had a lovely time with my mum. The Staff are very friendly always asking if your ok. And if there is anything they can do. Franny and sorry can't remember the other lad who did the quiz night had a great laugh with them both. They kept us very entained. Couldn't fault the food at breakfast or tea there was a good size portion at tea. But of you want a small portion you got a small amount. Breakfast was self service so as much as you wanted. Cereal to start full English and toast and jam and juices. Tea coffee. We had a downstairs room number 3 big small shower very clean and got tea and coffee making facilities. Ive stayed for 3 days and i wasnt please with the room we stayed..as its too cozy and the cupboard is so dusty..but I love the staff they were so courteous and accomodating..they served a superb breakfast..
