Eleri and Ger are both amazing, me & my husband have have a few experiences with the highland cows one of which was on our wedding day, we got some fantastic pictures and memories to last a life time. They also chaperoned our two Weimaraners to the wedding and walked and fed them for us so we didn’t have to worry about them on our special day. Eleri at Waggy Walks & Coosy Cuddles has been looking after our dog on various occasions over the past year. She is absolutely wonderful and treats all dogs like members of her family.

What do you love most about your job?
I just love being outdoors, in all weathers. Walking and being close to nature is good for my soul! Sharing this with four paws and a waggy tail just makes it even better!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I lost my mum in January 2021, causing me to stop and reflect. As a community nurse I had loved my job immensely, but things felt different. The only time I really had peace was while walking and being outdoors. My dogs were a saviour!
I decided to try to make a go of doggy day care by starting small with walking. My nursing hours are minimal now and doggy diary is getting full!

I can’t wait to meet your dogs! We will have fun, I will enjoy walking them as much as they enjoy going out.
Doggy day care
We live on a smallholding, and of course there are fences! I just wouldn't want to state that it is completely dog proof - if you have an escape artist then they may well find a gap at the moment. However, when I take my dogs up in the field to play, they are far too interested in the game to leave the field. If your dog isn't into playing and wants to walk instead we can walk right up through the farm and out onto the forestry above. There the dogs can check all their doggy social media!
Dog socialising
I have four friendly dogs that your dog can be socialised with, we can do this with you there initially, I will assess your dog/s with each one of mine individually, if your dog doesn’t get on with one or all of them that’s fine as I will adapt the activities around that. And of course, if you (or they) prefer I can take them out on their own and give them all my attention!
Dog walking
I can come to collect your dog and walk them in their own familiar area, or take them for a walk with my dogs.
I live on a small farm and can do day care here, there are sheep on the farm so I will keep your dogs on a lead until we reach an empty field to play in or till we are safely on the forestry. If your dog is bad with sheep we will leave the fields altogether and go out in my van, or walk to the lake.
House sitting
If I am house sitting for you - I will follow your instructions to the letter! I can take your dog/s on their usual walk or find new routes. If I am out of my area I will look into it before hand on OS maps.
I can also care for cats in your home.
Drop in visits
I can call in to your home to let your dog out, once, twice or three times or I can sit at your home for the day. I can pick up your dog for a walk and take him back. It’s really up to you and what you need.
I can call in to check on cats too.
