I was very grateful and relieved to have found the excellent home-care team Visiting Angels. Their management and care workers live up to their name. My husband was bedridden when I sought help from Visiting Angels. I was impressed by Rosie’s initial visit to assess the situation as she made a point of including my husband in the discussion which was very reassuring. This was in contrast to the two representatives of other care companies who talked over him or just nodded ‘hello’ and walked out of the bedroom.
Visiting Angels matched the carer to fit in with his needs and personality and tried to have the same team coming regularly. All the carers were kind and compassionate to my husband but also to everyone else in the family. They were also very supportive to me when my husband passed.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them to family or friends in need.

Home & Domiciliary Care

My husband and I have been more than happy with the excellent care visiting angels provide for him on a daily basis and it is a great comfort to him that the carers do not change and he has got to know Katie and her team very well, and Jose and Rosie are always at hand to sort any problems that might arise.
We both appreciate their kindness, reliability, punctuality and ready smile and cheerful “hallo” what ever the weather.
Thank you all!

Judging from the care arrangement since the beginning of the year with my mother, Visiting Angels Barnet and Enfield live up to their publicity. They are sincere about providing a reliable service that really meets the needs of their clients. The managers are approachable, flexible, friendly, as indeed are the carers. Unlike other care companies, in which, one suspects, labour is being exploited, care is a box-ticking exercise. More...

I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional service provided by Visiting Angels. From the moment we engaged with them, the team exhibited understanding, kindness and a sympathetic personal touch.

Jose, Rosie and Katie went above and beyond to ensure that our family's needs were met. Their professionalism combined with patience, warmth and genuine compassion has set a standard that I have not come across before in other care agencies.

The dedication of the entire team is evident in the thoughtful and tailored approach they take to address individual needs. The managing director's hands-on involvement reflects his commitment to excellence.

I wholeheartedly recommend Visiting Angels to anyone seeking home help. Their exceptional service, made me breathe a sigh of relief when leaving my loved one in their hands.

I decided to ask for help from the Angels when I was visiting my mum twice a day while she was in a nursing home. She was 102 and had gone into a decline after contracting Covid. I met with Jose and Rosie and we decided that someone would visit mum for one hour twice a week. Debbie, the Angel, would just sit with mum and chatter away. She was also very good about mums safeguarding phoning me if she felt there was a problem. As well as taking the pressure from me for a couple of afternoons a week someone would also ring me to offer support at a difficult time. I felt a huge sense of relief that someone was giving mum an hour of their time and I knew she was cared for. I will always be very grateful for their help that carried on until mum died. More...

Home & Domiciliary Care

I was at a low ebb in my life after I had recently lost two very close members of my family and things were going downhill fast. Out of desperation I decided to see if I could get help of any kind with regards to my personal care. Prior to this I was either being fobbed off or being passed from pillar to post so I gave up. I managed to pluck up enough courage and strength to fill out details on the 'Bark' website. I really did not think I would get any response but days later I received a call from a lovely gentleman by the name of Jose Rodriguez of Visiting Angels Barnet. Although his care practice is private and it turned out I was unable to afford his services he nonetheless took the time in his busy schedule to listen to my plight and he promised me that he will do everything in his power to help me get into the system. He told me that he was in the business of helping people and he could see that I had in effect 'fallen off the radar' when it comes to getting help with personal care. A day or so after his call, I suddenly got a call from Enfield social care to arrange for an assessment. Jose called me again to get an update on my health and any developments with regards to the council. Again he was kind enough to take time and listen to me. He put me at ease and encouraged me not to give up. I could not thank him enough for all he had done for me because he went out of his way to help me after learning about my poor health and the fact I was not getting the help I deserved. Thanks to Jose at the Visiting Angels Barnet care practice I am now getting the help I need with my personal care from my local council Enfield. As well as personal care Jose has given me invaluable advise with regards to other possible support and or equipment I might be entitled to because of my situation. I would like to say that very rarely has someone taken a genuine interest and concern in my well being and I am very grateful to Jose for that. Finally I would definitely recommend Jose and his Visiting Angels Barnet practice to anyone looking for personal care. More...

Home & Domiciliary Care

The above 5 star rating relates solely to the help received from Visiting Angels when making initial enquiries. It does not relate to services received because we could not engage Visiting Angles for costs reasons.

We had to find carers to look after Mother when she was discharged from hospital, and spoke to Jose as part of this process. Jose at Visiting Angels could not have been more helpful in explaining the approach that sets Visiting Angels apart from other care providers. He and his team have a mission to get those in need of care to function as independently as possible. Their approach is to encourage their clients to try to do as much as they can for themselves, being on hand to step in and assist only where absolutely necessary. They have found that this is an effective method to restore confidence and independent living in the shortest possible time. Jose gave his time freely in telephone calls, explaining things that we could do to assist Mother and giving us tips on ideas to speed her recovery; he even offered to visit mum at the hospital to undertake a needs assessment prior to her discharge. Unfortunately Visiting Angels' hourly costs are outside our budget otherwise we would have had no hesitation opting to engage their services.

Amazing company. It is run by such a wonderful management team and carers. All carers actually care for the client rather than other agencies that do it just for money. I’ve worked for Visiting Angels since Feb 18 and l personally am extremely happy to be part of their team. Great employee benefits including extremely fair hourly rate with regular pay increases, my car was recently given a full valet and I won a spa voucher at Tankersley Manor for winning care giver of the month. You are paid whilst completing a comprehensive training programme and office and management are professional yet approachable, they have literally bent over backwards to fit work round me and the hours I am able to do as a single parent, and have promptly dealt with any issues raised. I have a lovely client base that is growing and l regularly receive good feedback from my clients via my manager, who is keen to let me know when I’m doing a good job which is something I think is missing in a lot of work places. As well as 20 days holiday a year, you are paid for travel time between client visits and a generous mileage allowance. There are other perks, such as servicing your vehicle annually and they are constantly monitoring and looking for ways to incentivise staff and show you their appreciation. If you are looking to start a career in or are currently working in the care sector and thinking of changing your employer for one that actually cares about you as much as their clients then I couldn’t give them a higher recommendation. Q&As

Gaining the satisfaction of helping others who often come to us in distress and in need. When we manage to turn that distress to create something that really adds value to their lives; create better outcomes than that is a great feeling. Nothing feels better than that.

Looking after my mother's care for over 10 years and having to solve the issues that come with it on my own. My remit is to use my experience to help, and support and promote, safe independent living whether you are a client or not , It is a scary minefield for the person responsible, and a terrible pressure and a strain across all the extended family.

1. I only employ carers that are good enough to have looked after my own parents which is why we vet, train and treat them well, and pay them higher than the average care company. I only want to attract the best.
2. I treat all clients as if I am looking after my own parents and we go above and beyond to ensure that we can help to maintain their dignity and independence.
3. We do our best to match the care giver to the client for the best outcomes.

As all organisation we comply with the guidelines at the time. Currently PPE for covid purposes is not a requirement. We will of course make sure that we confirm and adapt to a clients specific needs at the time.
