Loads of fun. Main gripe was the mislabelling of the chicken goujons as wings. Now I like a chicken goujon as much as the next man but if it don't have a bone in it, it ain't a wing as far as I'm concerned. Impressively premium hand soap mind you More...

Had no idea what to expect but pleasantly surprised with such an awesome atmosphere!!! Haven't played golf in a few years and it definitely showed but got amazing advice from the skilled staff and decided would have to bring my mates back for a laugh (they are terribly uncoordinated). Second time just as great if not better, hired a couple of simulators and had a friendly competition even the what seemed to be professional players next to us had a good laugh (probably at us) but overall really, REALLY good time. HIGHLY recommend! More...

A solid spot for a group adventure! I was looking for a slightly interactive, fun, laid back event for our office folks (with minimal organization needed by me) -- and Urban Golf definitely delivered just that. Simulated golf is really fun! It makes you feel better than you actually are at golf! It's pretty simple and easy and doesn't require a lot of athletic talent! Almost anyone can enjoy this. The setup is nice and includes a bar and service right to your "green."Also, it's weatherproof. One might want to consider that in London, I suppose. Total price for 30 people, 3 hours of private golfing, drinks and food was £2200. A bit spendy, but the food was really nice (very heavy apps, tapas and sliders) and everything ran very smoothly from start to finish. Would definitely not hesitate to return -- if you are looking for something fun and interactive with a group or even just with a few friends, this place is worth a (tee) shot! More...

I never liked the concept of golf but I this new high tech approach to it very appealing so I decided to give it a try and visited this place. I wasn't in anyway disappointed with the experience despite the fact that I hardly had a par. Personally for me a big plus was that you are able to drink a beer or two while practicing your swing. Some say that hitting golf balls in a basement takes out most of the fun away from golfing and the simulator isn't accurate from time to time but do those things really matter as long as you're having genuine fun? The answer at least for me is no. More...

I was never a big fan of golfing so naturally I was reluctant when my friends invited me to a night out at this indoor golf centre. To be honest I sat the first hour down but after seeing how much fun my friends were having I decided to give it a try. I don't know if its because of its urban style, the high tech appeal or the fact that you can practice your swing while drinking a beer but I really got into it.Proper fun. More...

Last Friday was my first contact with interior golfing, and my immediate impression was that this place was absolutely great! I have only two words for those of you (like myself) who had never played played interior golf before  try it. The simulator is fine tuned so you get to keep all the sensations of the real thing like choosing your club, preparing yourself and finally swinging for the ball. It is actually as difficult as in real life golf so spend quite some time in the rough but at least it was lots of fun! Very smart furniture with leather sofas. The staff was really attentive which added to the overall good experience. The whole atmosphere of this place resembles a futuristic golf club.I warmly recommend this venue for some genuine fun after work with colleagues or friends. More...

As much as I like the idea of playing golf, it turns out I am pretty rubbish at it so it is good to practice in this sectioned indoor setting! It is perfect for everyone who even has a slight interest in playing golf or just socialising over some beers. I expect it would be great for corporate events with everyone competing!Urban golf is pretty much a golf simulation with real clubs and balls which you hit at a screen which can detect speed, direction and trajectory to calculate your strike. It takes a while to get a feel for it (especially putting) but it is a great alternative to playing in the cold.Get a few of your mates together, get some beers in and get rid of some aggression, great fun! Brilliant. You have two hours, very realistic, good sporty atmosphere, perfect for a large group of lads.  You do 6 holes in each simulator, with real high quality clubs.  if you finish early, they put on some games.  Service was great, friendly and efficient. Tom the manager was especially brilliant and went extra mile for us. Would go back! More...

GREAT TIME! I first inquired about a booking via email and was contacted quickly and they were super helpful and informative. I needed to call in my credit card info to secure my booking and then they emailed me a confirmation. So I went ahead and booked Urban Golf at the Smithfield for my husband's birthday and let me say that he absolutely LOVED this place. We went during the lunch special time frame and got a GREAT deal including lunch. The man who was working there was extra friendly and explained how the golfing worked and took care of us with food and beer. We got to choose where we wanted to golf, we chose Hawaii :)   It feels pretty realistic while playing and you get a big set of clubs (included in price). My husband was on cloud nine when he was playing. He lovedddd it and said it was his favorite birthday gift yet. I would definitely recommend this and now my husband wishes there was a place like this where we lived so he could go every week! More...

I'm a genuinely terrible golfer. Most of my time is largely spent hacking around on a fairway that isn't part of the hole I'm meant to be playing. Or, failing that, the rough. I pity anybody who has to follow me around a course.

At Urban Golf, I still spent plenty of time hacking around in the rough and failing to get anywhere near the fairway, but I didn't annoy anybody in the process - our group of four was all equally awful. What's more, it wasn't cold and drink was available between shots. This may have accounted for the drop-off in an already poor quality as our two hours progressed.

With private simulators giving your chance to play some of the world's best known courses (we opted for the Old St. Andrews), and a relaxed atmosphere, Urban Golf's a great option for an evening trying something different. And for anybody who wants to learn minus the humiliation of attempting a course outdoors with everybody watching, their lessons are a good option. I'll definitely be back. Maybe I might even putt a ball next time.

I feel a bit bad giving an average rating to Urban Golf, especially as I didn't even play a game. But if you're not crazy about sport and happen to be going along with a large group of golf enthusiasts, you'll spend an awful lot of time getting to know the bar. Luckily it's really quite pleasant. It has a modern gentlemen's club feel about it, with a stack of board games and a book shelf to complete the look. Drinks are priced around average for the area (expect to pay £7 for a cocktail) and there are plenty of sofas if you don't want to join in with the golf.I wouldn't choose to come here again, but that's because golf bores me to tears. But the boys and girls I was with seemed to have a great time whacking balls into a virtual landscape. Each to their own. More...

The idea is great, being able to have a few drinks while playing golf is good fun. A little expensive, we paid £50 for the hour, I guess between 3 it is not that bad. Food is not great, but we were there for the golf and social. Would go again, it was a good night. More...

This was such a blast and I don't really even like golf unless there's a windmill on the course. I went for a corporate networking function which could have been a snoozefest but instead it was a fantastic bonding experience. They had set-up buckets of house wine and a great selection of beer and lots of hors d'oeuvres. The drinks were cold and crisp and the food was fantastic! I hadn't expected much of the food but it was good gastro pub quality and they brought plenty of it. There was more than enough for everyone, which was good because we worked up an appetite with our desperately bad swings! We had a private section with our own instructors who offed us tips. The true golfers in the bunch (or at least those that thought they were) said it was really informative and helpful. For those of us who were just excited to swing a stick after a few drinks, they kindly set us up with a group game and left us to it. Thankfully no one was hurt. All the staff were very attentive and a good laugh. Make sure you get on the mailing list as they do great deals all the time. This is really great for a group event like a birthday or office party. More...

Was my first time at an interior golf, and I would say I want to go back!! For those who never played interior Golf, try try tryy. .. you keep all the sensations of the real Golf from choosing your club then prepare yourself to finally hit the ball with your best swing! It is actually as much difficult as in real also... we spend most of our time trying to get out the rough but that was very funny! The kensington high street venue is great as well. Very smart furnitures with big leather sofas, the staff are very attentive and friendly! There is obviously more men than women but I was with other girls and we all enjoyed it (I suppose :)). Golf is harder than it looks. Fortunately, in urban golf, you don't have to walk very far when you blast it off a cliff into the sea. Urban Golf is significantly better than even Wii golf, and it has a bar. My performance peaked around 2-3 beers then dropped off. There are around 6 booths were you can play comfortably with 4 people, and a really good putting green (a real plastic one). You can place the ball in the heavy rough, sand etc, and they have a selection of Ping clubs - ranging from the quite hard to use 7 iron, to the impossible to use 3 wood. I still don't want to take up golf... but this was a nice distraction. More...
