My sister and I visited for an Open Day in November last year. I love how close knit and collected the students we met were. My wonderful dad dr Mick drake was a lecturer at hull university . He had a real passion for his job , his teaching and especially his students who he spoke so so fondly of . This was such a huge part of his life which I obviously had little involvement in and would love to hear from any of his students and their stories of him . I'm struggling to accept he's gone and a huge hole has been left in my heart, would jut be nice to hear people's stories of him xxx More...

I graduated at Hull University in 1976. Just returned from an alumni weekend which included tours of the University and Old Town. The University has expanded immensely but still retains that caring almost family like atmosphere. I would not hesitate in going there to study if I was younger and given the opportunity. The city still has the smell charm and people of Hull are still proud of the city's heritage and independence. I had forgotten how beautiful the buildings and streets are and how many pubs there are in most streets. Just loved the weekend and will go there again soon. More...

I graduated from Hull University in July 2016. I loved every minute of my three years there and would recommend it to anyone. As soon as I can afford it I intend to go back and do Masters. The staff are great and friendly. Especially look out for Saran Donkin, Suzanne Clisby, Mick Drake and Mick Wilkinson. I was invited for an applicants day and was very much impressed with your grounds, philosophy, and resources. What impressed me most though was the attitudes from your ambassadors and staff on the course. They were so friendly and informative and I could tell they were truly passionate about the university and not simply selling it. More importantly, they listened to what I had to say and omitted every fear I had about becoming a mature student. When I returned home I immediately submitted my UCAS application and I was offered a place from yourselves within 24 hours! I am so excited to be starting in September, it can't come quick enough.
