What makes a great website?
A great website is one that captures the heart and minds of your customers the moment they lay eyes on it. A subtle balance of important insights into the company, an overview of your products and services, and enough brand aesthetics that customers immediately understand who you are and what you do is the key.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Before we start any project we want to know what your goals and aspirations are so we can create materials that speak directly to your aims. We like to find out as much about you and your company, your clients and your competitors, as possible, so that the solution we provide is tailored to your exact specifications. A brief and budget are also important so we know the parameters we need work within.
Describe your creative process.
Our process starts with 'discovery', which is a piece of work designed to allow us to get to know you and your goals and aspirations in as much detail as possible. For bigger projects (say branding), we'd then provide concepts that you can chose from, we may throw in some market research if it's needed, and then we'd get to work designing a final product based on all the feedback we received.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
A brief, a budget, and a timeframe. The rest we can work out together.
What do you love most about your job?
For me, it's about finding out about people and what they're trying to achieve that excites me the most. As designers, we get to bring to life the hopes and dreams of our clients, and although it sounds quite cliche, it's really a fantastic feeling when you ask a client what they want, deliver a solution, and that solution creates an opportunity that may have otherwise not been possible. There isn't a bigger thrill than that.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I used to work for a large corporate heading up a large marketing and design team within the company. When they decided to offshore the whole department as part of a cost-saving exercise, I decided to go it alone. Design has always been in my blood, and it's a thrill everyday to be able to use my passion for design to create opportunities for clients.

The bottom line is that this isn't just another job to us. We like to create longterm relationships with our clients as we believe we can add the most value when we're seen as a trusted partner in a business providing branding and marketing solutions that allow a business to grow, develop, and thrive. We base our design decisions on evidence and proof, which is why our creative process is so important, as that allows us to deliver solutions based on evidence rather than assumptions. We're a small team, which allows us to have a one-to-one relationship with our clients, and we have a keen eye for modern design and how that can truly help companies strengthen their brand and reach more customers.
