Working with Ian was incredible. I felt like it was the best experience I have ever had with a personal trainer. He really understood what I wanted out of my training plan and allowed me to be flexible when necessary (regarding rest and recovery). For me personally, he communicates in a friendly way and genuinely is like talking to a motivational friend most the time. Obviously he also takes his training sessions with clients seriously and that’s how I got the most out of this. Training Peaks was a great platform to set sessions and record feedback to allow for progress, as well as being able to communicate on WhatsApp during the week until 7pm. What can I say?! I am a running convert and wholeheartedly recommend TriClub. I started training and coaching with Ian back in March, in an attempt to get me ready for the GNR half marathon (now completed). I would say that I perhaps wasn't his typical client, I couldn't run one mile when we started working together. However, in just a little over 6 months, Ian has taught me that there is so much more to running than I ever realised, I have learnt about pacing, and breathing, and segment running, drills, and fuelling yourself properly for longer runs, and what's more, I have come to love running (most of the time) 😀 Ian has been patient, and understanding throughout my training plan, adapting to the various injuries I have had, and built up my running from 1 mile to 13 miles, I can honestly say I wouldn't have got to the GNR, and completed it, without him. What do you love most about your job?
Helping people to realise their potential physically and mentally! I value developing clients self-belief and confidence and helping them to believe in their own ability and mindset, a mindset where all things are possible, if you can dream it, you can do it!
What inspired you to start your own business?
In 2018 I broke my leg in three places and dislocated my ankle. After 9 pins, a metal plate and a long, tough comeback I won my first race back in triathlon.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Government protocols state we are back to normal now. Covid-19 is no longer factored into planning, it is now considered a ‘normal cold and flu’. However I am fully vaccinated and if I’m unwell I generally won’t meet with clients, or will make them aware I’m unwell.
