I came across Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu academy 6 years ago when I was looking for a school to study Wing Chun. Shifu Zac was very welcoming and warm, and immediately asked me if I wanted to join the class and train with them. I was really impressed by his knowledge on martial arts and the fact that he could demonstrate his knowledge in action, which signifies years of dedicated and hard training. Anyone looking for a place to learn Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu under a knowledgeable and qualified teacher I recommend this academy. A brilliant and well taught academy, there is a friendly and positive atmosphere and the teaching is first class.The techniques are effective and due to them not being overly complicated in application they work well in practical scenarios. I joined nearly six months ago, and have found it to be a great experience. I wanted to try Kung Fu, but did not want to end up in a room with people bashing each other up just for the sake of it, as it does happen at some "schools" out there. At the academy, students help and respect each other, the atmosphere is very positive, and it's a lot of fun. It takes time, effort and dedication to master the techniques, and I know I can count on Shifu, or older students, for help and guidance, which is great. The curriculum is taught properly, with the fundamentals, the logic, the spiritual aspect, etc... I have seen the benefits of the training in terms of flexibility, energy and self confidence. My experience with the institute has been brilliant. I started training on average twice per week 3 years ago for a total of around 4-6 hours per week and find the benefits to physical and mental health and energy to be profound. I would highly recommend Shifu Zak, who has developed a number of exceptionally talented Sihings (teaching assistants) in a traditional way, so those looking to perfect their skills, do something good for your health, in harmony with nature, will have a great environment of friendly people to do this with. Additionally the Global trips that are available as a member of the school have in my experience, given me some of the best adventures I ever had.
