Top Class Magic

When I started magic there were two styles. You'd either get a very powerful intense magician / mind-reader. He'd ask someone to think of a shape and after 5 minutes of intense staring they would say "You're thinking of a triangle" Very powerful....but it can be a bit too much and sometimes a bit boring. The other style of magic is more of your Tommy Cooper Comedy Magic. Everything goes wrong, the tricks are rubbish and the focus is on comedy. After realising that these two styles of magic are built upon the idea of going to see a magician do a show I noticed something was wrong. If you're looking to hire me, it's very unlikely that you're looking for people to come along and see me perform a show. The audience will be there to celebrate a birthday party, anniversary, wedding or a product launch at a corporate event. So the magician is no longer the main focus (I'm often a complete surprise) Therefore the reason I'm hired is to make your guests feel special and entertained. You want them to go "WOW! That event was amazing this magician did this trick where..." Unfortunately, the two previous styles of magic don't really provide this so I've created a new style of magic. Hard hitting, wow factor magic combined with my natural Glaswegian sense of humor.

I love the fact that I bump into my clients 10 years after their events and they'll say to me:

"Do you know, no one can remember where our event was, what the colour scheme was, what food was on offer or who gave a speech...but they all remember our event as 'The one with the magician' and how great the party was.

For me, life can me a bit, meh! Months go by with us doing the same old things so when it's time to celbrate and have a party, that's what lives really about. Family, friends, creating new memories whilst reminiscing over old ones. I like that I can sprinkly a little bit of magic over special occasions

People kept saying "I wish you were the magician at our party"

Simply put, they'd either hired an intense magician or a clown when they really wanted to hire someone to break the ice and put the buzz into the place.

You only get one shot at having your event. If you book the cheapest magician and things don't quite work out then you can't get that magic moment back again. There's only one me.

I'm a 5 x Scottish Close-up Magic Champion, an International Magic Champion, the first Scottish Magician to pass the Magic Circle Entrance exam with over 90%, I'm full time professional, fully insured member of Equity. I'm funny....lots of magicians say they are but I was voted 'Best Sense Of Humour' in School and I'm the only magician in Scotland currently performing on the Scottish Stand-up comedy circuit.
