Yesterday we attended a wedding here. It was amazing! The staff were so accommodating and couldn’t do enough to help. The food was excellent, as was the service. The garden and surroundings are just perfect. COVID restrictions meant we were not able to do exactly what we wanted, but we will never forget the atmosphere and the fact we had to dance at our tables! It truly was a magical day. I went to the white horse with friends last night, the atmosphere was brilliant, singer was awesome and even though all toilets backed up they had someone out and sorted this within a hour! Went to White Horse last Saturday 1st May for my sisters birthday with 6 of us. Highly recommend they really have got it organised, meal was excellent, service very good and staff very pleasant and looked very smart and professional in their lovely uniforms. The atmosphere was really great although bit chilly as night went on. I shall most definitely be returning will be lovely outside in the beautiful tent on warm summer nights..... can’t wait....Thank you to all staff for making the evening very enjoyable and memorable xx More...

I have only eaten twice at The White Horse, the first time before the second lockdown and the second time last night. The welcome by staff has been amazing, you’re seated very quickly. The marquee looks lovely, slightly cold at night but due to Covid they have a certain amount of the marquee open. They have plenty of benches outside for those who do not want to be seated in the marquee. The food has always been good for me, however; the service is SO slow. Both times I waited a while to even order my first drink. Last night we waited longer than expected to order food, it arrived hot and was delicious, although not cooked to the preference for one party member. We had to ask three times for our second drink, we waited around 45 minutes for our order to actually be taken, even after asking two members of staff. Our plates were removed quickly, desert menus put down but no follow up on if we wanted desert or not. We had enough by this time and left, even though Kates voice was amazing! More...

Went for a later Sunday meal. Singer was great but service and food disappointing. Roast was soggy and overcooked. No mayonnaise for salad and had to ask twice for cranberry sauce by which time we’d almost finished the meals. No one came back at all to ask re desserts so we gave up in the end.
