What a fab find. Was going on an early morning ferry and used as a base to stay the night. Booked a room with washing spacious clean and had a comfortable bed. The bonus is the bar. Served good food well priced and all served by great staff. Also had a good selection of beer, wine cider and other drinks. Happy to go back again More...

The Hotel is charming, like walking into your family home after many years away, home at last. Restaurant is great, staff members are friendly and very accommodating. Garden is fun to hang out in and have a beer. More...

We arrived on a Sunday to the closest train station at Martin Mill close to 6pm and raining. After delays in Paris and a race to catch a train we finally arrived at the station.
No taxi, no Uber & no bus. What are we to do?
We walked - two adults and 3 children...
After a while of walking and drenching, the wife decided to call ahead to let the hotel know that, yes, we are still arriving!
What? Walking? In the rain? With the kids?
Can’t have that!
Out grateful thanks to Jess for going above and beyond to come and collected us!
Now that’s service!
We arrived and what a gorgeous hotel. Very warmly and comforting with the nice sound of rain outside to add to the atmosphere!
Fell in love with our room and decided to stay another night!
Very warm and comfortable beds and rooms that are very charming.
Meals were simply delicious including the pizzas on a Sunday night and a great selection of local beers that I never finished trying all of.
Definitely a highlight of our holiday and would definitely stay and recommend here.
Thanks once again for having us and going above and beyond!
Cheers!

Especially the blonde boy/guy/man sorry we didn't catch your name but you were very hospitable polite and literally worked every job in the building effortlessly! We'll be back. + great location and yummy food More...

A good overnight stop near Dover ferry terminal being 10 to 15 minutes by car and yet in the countryside. Parking to front and back of the hotel. We were in the rear of the hotel in the old part which was quiet. We arrived late so we did not dine but the atmosphere in the bar was good. Cosy and very pleasant room with normal facilities. Easy walk to the White Cliffs, approximately 25 minutes. Breakfast good although there were some complaints on how long it took so beware if you are catching a ferry. More...

A lovely stop over place to stay prior to catching the Ferry - We had a 7 hour drive from South Wales to Dover so it was great to find somewhere that was comfortable and clean for a family of four - It worked for our needs.

I recently had a meeting here with friends and enjoy the hand cut ham sandwich with root vegetable soup. These were followed by wonderful coffee. Service was good. The place is quirky it had recently snowed yet I was surprised to find a left hand broken ski propped up by a door in reception. Entering the lobby to the toiles I began to understand a theme, a sledge then another, aaah I had drifted into winter wonderland. Once by the fire I forgot about going home for a moment lost in White cliffs warmest deception, I dreamed of snow, white Christmas, hot soup, sheltered from storm, I was snug. I'll stop over again something! More...

Incredible food and incredibly friendly people.
For such a nice place, we were hesitant to stop in with our young boys.
But we had just walked from the cliffs beach (long story) and didn't have many options. We went inside and braced for the irritability that might come from bringing kids into a nice restaurant. We got none of it.
Great kids meals that came out quick and gave the boys a head start (they need it) followed by amazing ice cream. My wife got chicken and I got steak, both of which we done fantastically along with great sides.
The head waitress gave us directions and offered to help if we had trouble getting back to town. All this for one of 2 restaurants in the town. A real find. Can't recommend enough!

We lived in the loft with family and I really liked it. We have been to this hotel three time in the last 5 years. They are constantly renovating. Dinner was good in their restaurant. About 30 min walk till cliffs lighthouse. Nice church around. More...
