Another fabulous meal at The Shireburn Arms. Incredibly meaty Steak & Ale Pie with Mushy Peas and Chips and the Egg Mayo sandwich was also good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Moreover the venue continues to have a lovely oldly world charm with open fires to match. Highly recommended. More...

We ate at the shireburn as part of a group of 7. Service was quick and the staff were friendly. Importantly for us there was a full gluten free menu available. The staff were clearly knowledgeable of the requirements of coeliacs and confirmed they used a separate preparation area and fryer. The food was great and really was gluten free. We liked the pub and area so much we had a quick look round the family guest rooms and intend to return and stay overnight. £95 for double room, £125 family of 3, £150 family of 4 (1 folding bed). All include breakfast. More...

We booked ahead of time for a table for two. As we arrived we were greeted warmly and with enthusiasm by a gentleman working that evening. We both forgo starters and opted for steaks served with all the trimmings. The steak was amazing! Cooked to perfection and the sides were also fantastic. We followed it up with dessert also which I often struggle to find anything suitable other than fruit salad with being coeliac. However, the dessert was also delightful. We will certainly be returning in near future. Lovely atmosphere, staff and the pricing is very reasonable. More...
