We've been driving past The Queens Head for years and the timing was right tonight to look in. The pub looks ancient and interesting from the road and turned out to be more polished as we pulled into the car park. Turned up on spec, no booking on a Saturday night, having driven past this pub for many years and finally decided to stop off, no problem, we were served drinks, shown the menu and seated within half an hour. We went for our Xmas lunch today (25th). Greeted at the door by happy friendly staff . Champagne and canapes in abundance. We had the seafood first course, a cornet of oak smoked salmon with lobster, prawns , crayfish & fresh asparagus. A delicious meal in itself. We then had a homemade champagne sorbet, very refreshing . We enjoyed the Norfolk roast Turkey with all the trimmings. l had Xmas pudding and my partner had the local cheese slate. This was washed down with coffee accompanied by mints and mince pies . Lots of good tasty food. Service very good the whole day was very enjoyable. Upon leaving we were offered a bottle of beer or a small bottle of wine to take home. Thoroughly recommend a Xmas day meal here. Well done the Queens Head More...
