Went to a Pilates session with a friend today at The Pilates Shed. Was a great session and we had fun on the reformer. Highly recommend trying out one of her classes. She’s very friendly and takes her time to get to know your individual needs. An experienced teacher who knows her stuff! Thankyou Rebecca x More...

I love Rebecca’s Pilates classes as they’re small and she’s a very experienced teacher who makes sure everyone from beginners to advanced level is looked after. My body has strengthened since I started last year. Thanks Rebecca More...

I've been practising Pilates with Rebecca for nearly 12 months now, I started at the age of 50 and with no previous experience, Rebecca is a lovely, warm and highly knowledgeable teacher and immediately started making small corrections to my postures in the classes. 12 months on I'm feeling so much stronger and straighter, and I feel that I've learned quite a lot about my own body. Niggling back and neck pains from sitting all day at work have all but vanished. The hall class and the Shed itself are lovely places to be, and the classes are friendly and inclusive. Don't get me wrong, it's hard work! I'm so happy to have found this, can't recommend Rebecca at the pilates shed highly enough #pilates #getasixpack #thepilatesshed #bestpilatesteacher More...

I can highly recommend Rebecca! Attended her fabulous classes pre and post major surgery and my recovery time was minimised due to the excellent care from Rebecca. She always tailored my exercises enabling me to carry on lessons in a group setting and always checked on me to make sure my naughty stomach muscles were ok. I was very sad when she moved away and I still haven't found a replacement Pilates teacher. Rebecca you are one in a million!! More...

I have been with Rebecca for 4-5 years in North London and I can truly say that she is attentive to each individuals, gives specific advice, watches everyone carefully to make sure they're doing it right, moves bits of you if they are in the wrong place! She has helped me with my lower back and my shoulders. My back and core is much stronger and my overall tone and strength is much improved.A friendly and relaxed class but you feel challenged and leave the class revived! I have no hesitation in recommending Rebecca and people of Bournemouth you have acquired a gem of a teacher. More...

Rebecca has been my Pilates teacher for over 5 years and taught me how to get the best out of Pilates. She is very patient and informative & always made the sessions fun. She was especially helpful at adapting the class to suit areas of the body that needed the most attention & you would leave the class feeling rejuvenated More...

I had my first Pilates class with Rebecca today and loved it. She clearly knows her stuff and it’s fantastic to learn the details that are often missed in huge gym classes. I highly recommend and I already feel like my shoulders are relaxing and easing a little tension. Thank you Pilates Shed looking forward to another class already. More...

Was so sad to loose such a fabulous Pilates teacher in Rebecca. I attended her sessions every week for many years, I’ve lost count how many. ..

Although you are in a group session albeit small groups, you do feel like you are receiving bespoke guidance throughout.

It is not easy to adapt exercises accordingly to each persons ailments. However Rebecca manages and executes this well

Q&As

Helping people to feel physically better and teaching them tools to practice self care techniques to maintain optimum movement and functionality. Skills which they can carry with them for he rest of their life. Teaching Pilates and practicing Pilates is a constant learning experience you can always improve, its the journey not always the end result!

My passion for Pilates grew with a desire to teach as I loved it so much and it made me feel amazing. I would walk out of my early classes feeling energised, longer, taller and feeling like I could take on the world. Teaching Pilates enabled me to start my own business while raising a family and working in my local community sharing something I was truly passionate about. Mindfulness is a new buzz word but I believe Joe Pilates body system 'Contrology' was one of the first to recognise the importance of mind body connection. Waking up your mind to the way you use your body daily is the beginning of the journey and teaching skills for your own personal self care can last a life time.

If large gym classes feel over whelming I offer group Mat classes with a maximum of 12 people and smaller group studio classes with 3/4 people exploring small equipment, moTr and reformer classes. I have experience teaching clients with many health conditions and I offer modifications and adaptions allowing all clients to improve and develop.
