A gem of a company! After my laptop decided to stop allowing updates to, or new programs to be installed, I took it to PC Repair House as I had run out of ideas as to how to resolve. I was impressed the minute I walked in a real repair shop, a great display of computer internal parts in the window sills, not glossy stuff you can get anywhere. Small part of a large workshop is behind the counter for all to see. On the left lots of computers booked in for repair on the right lots of computers waiting collection. Very professional and efficient booking in system. I dropped my computer in at 3.30pm they called me at 5.30pm same day to say it was fixed albeit some very tricky bios work and firmware updates. Had an issue with my Gaming PC which after trying to troubleshoot myself, trying every solution known to mankind, Reddit and the world wide web, I was generally losing the will to live So I decided to take into these professionals. Most highly recommend, my Lenovo desktop PC was very slow and after only a very few hours "PC Repair House" had diagnosed the issue (failing hard drive) and Ian replaced with a modern SSD Drive, loaded all the software back and I collected - works much better than when new, faultless and super fast. - Initial Instructions I contacted PC Repair House and spoke to Ian who offered an initial discussion over the phone about the work I require on my desktop gaming PC. Ian provided helpful advice about the proposed works, my intended use of the gaming PC and clearly clarified the timescales for work turnaround, pricing and drop off of my desktop at their Cheam store. Ian and I then corresponded via email where I provided detailed information about my current PC specifications and the proposed upgrading components, it was here where Ian’s extensive knowledge and expertise became very apparent. He provided accurate and effective advice about my upgrading components that I would be purchasing from third party suppliers, which included a CPU, Motherboard and GPU, relative to the intended performance of my PC and compatibility. The advice and guidance provided was absolutely crucial for me as the total investment into the upgraded components was significant. - Service I transported my desktop to their Cheam store myself where my PC and components were checked in with no issue and key details confirmed. Service and actual upgrade work was extremely efficient with a very fast turnaround. I was kept updated on progress and contacted promptly about any installation options that had arisen during the course of the work. On top of the core service my desktop was thoroughly cleaned with proper anti static equipment and configured in line with my preferences following installation. Again, Ian was extremely tactful, helpful and patient in answering all of my queries about the work and his progress. There were no issues with collection, however I will say that parking near their Cheam store can be tricky. My desktop is quite large and the area around the store only has limited parking even during quieter periods. - Aftercare The work was completed to an extremely high standard with comprehensive testing of the newly installed components and operating system before collection, there was no need for me to return my desktop back for additional work. The PC Repair House staff were proactive in ensuring my desktop and newly installed components were operating correctly in the days and weeks following collection and remained on standby to provide any assistance. - Pricing PC Repair House offers excellent value for money for the high standard of service they provide, the very attentive customer support and the comprehensive knowledge they offer in relation to PCs generally and your intended work specifically, particularly in translating jargon for a lay person to understand before, during and after their work. The team at PC Repair House is very versatile in respect of their skillset, expertise and ability to handle a variety of simple or complex services, involving software or hardware. The pricing and breakdown is clear and open from the start with no hidden fees or surprise charges whilst accurately and fairly reflecting the agreed work.
