I had my doubts about using a broker but Daniel Dawkins and his colleagues at The Mortgage Hut couldn’t have been more helpful. They took all the stress out of the whole process and found me a better deal than the one I’d tried to apply for by myself, and as a bonus the mortgage I went with had cash back which more than covered the fees. Southampton branch - Jacky Lambert absolutely brilliant!! We where first time buyers and had absolutely no idea of what the process is of buying a house. I contacted the mortgage hut and Jacky became our regular contact. She was always available to speak to us and this was way before we'd even found our house! She was a fountain of knowledge. We'd been put under pressure by other sleezy mortgage advisers to go with them but nothing could top Jacky she never made us feel under pressure. We found a house and it was sorted by Jacky & amazing team so slick and professionally so impressed! Amazing! Above and beyond! When we came to the mortgage hut we were at our wits end having already used two brokers who were awful and seemed unable to help us. The seller was about to pull out and we needed a mortgage fast having already been 6 months down the line. I spoke to Nicola on the Thursday ans she instantly knew the bank for us. She got us a DIP that night (well after normal working hours) and the full application was in the following day. We had a full mortgage offer the following tuesday thanks to Nicolas persistence! And also at an amazing rate! I cannot recommend Nicola enough! Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond keeping me in the loop at all times despite my endless emails and questions. I had almost lost hope trying to get a mortgage as my financial circumstances being a newly self employed and my partner just starting a new job proved to be impossible for several brokers I approached , some didn't even attempt to try, they just told me it was impossible . I spend load on brokers fees who ended up giving up . In one last ditch attempt I started searching earnestly for a broker that could manage a very complex situation. Stumbled across the mortgage hut and started speaking with Paul . We had a long 3 months trying to get the mortgage but he persevered and never gave up .His perseverance paid up as he was able to convince a mortgage company who had already declined my mortgage that I could meet their affordability criteria .I was shocked when we finally got the offer .It truly takes a certain type of person to keep on going even when there is only a glimmer of hope . I would commend Paul for this . His professionalism is without question exceptional . He always kept me in touch even when i did not ask . It was like he put himself in my shoes and felt every bit of emotion i had in this roller-coaster ride . I hope that others who read my review will not think twice about getting in touch with Paul . I have been there and done it and seen the best and the worse of Brokers and can tell you that if Paul can't do it , its almost certain nobody else can .Don't waste your money with Brokers that are only after a hefty upfront broker fee . Paul offered me the security of a minimal admin fee and broker fee only when i got the mortgage . Its not often a broker will take this risk unless they are confident in what they can deliver .
