I had about 7 or 8 coaching sessions with Nik, on a personal basis rather than part of a business team. I wasn't sure what to expect but I immediately felt great rapport with Nik and found it effortless to open up about all sorts of topics I hadn't particularly considered before. I surprised myself a few times by expressing thoughts I hadn't consciously registered but had obviously been brewing in the back of my mind.

I'm a busy person - a parent, partner, business owner, commuter, etc - and always felt on the back foot and frustrated at my lack of personal time. So I found these weekly sessions with Nik an oasis of calm... a sacred bit of time where I could focus on myself and basically feel like I was talking to a good friend about things important to me, but a wise friend who had the skill and knowledge to guide me through techniques to understand myself better. It's important to understand that Nik never gave me advice on what I should do, but he had a way of probing that meant I always came up with the answers myself, which I'm not sure I would have done had I not gone through the exercises.

We discovered that while I had motivation and intent to improve some areas of my life, my energy was a real blocker. I realised that nothing would really change until I tackled that root problem, and that led me on a journey to discover/reverse an illness causing it, and massively rebalance my life. I asked Nik to stop the sessions while I went on that journey so I could remain focused, but we intend to resume again soon.

If I look back at the last year I can see how much has changed - I take personal time, I don't say yes to everything, I am better connected with my family, I have lost weight and I happy to live a much cleaner life now. I'm now ready to take up new challenges. And I think much of this improvement has happened as a direct result of my sessions with Nik.

Q&As

What I love most is helping people. It might sound a cliché for a coach to say this, however I often prefer to work with individuals or small teams because you get to see your results far quicker than when you work with large organisations. The reason for this is because you might be battling against the corporate culture yet with individuals and small teams, the culture (and the personal culture) is far easier to influence, mould and shape. Coaching was something that I had always been interested in since I attended my first NLP event way back in 2003 and since 2016 I have been working in a more concerted way with individuals and small teams alike in the fields of business coaching and life coaching...and that was the best decision I ever made as it permits me to see what can be achieved together with my clients on a more direct basis.

I am one of those people who 100% believes in both 1) the ability to change and 2) a growth mindset. I don't agree with the phrase "A leopard cannot change their spots" as it just isn't true. Whilst it is of course not without its challenges, change is merely a step-by-step process. I am a true believer in this philosophy and I desperately wanted to use these skills with other people so that together we could create new futures not just for me, but also for my clients.

It's a great question. Trust is the answer, but how can people trust someone via a website? I believe that people buy other people who share the same values as them so here are my core values and then someone reading my bio may have a better insight into the person who I am. Integrity and Honesty. Those two values are key to me. Whatever I do I have to honour my integrity and my reputation at all costs. Another value is Respecting Others. I always try and behave in such a way as to not disrespect another person. Family-oriented, that's another huge value. I try and be the best husband and father as I can be. Finally Change. I can't sit still and wait for life to pass me by. I have to be constantly learning, constantly developing and always trying to be a better version of myself from one day to the next. Even by a small amount each day. That's what matters, because all those days add up. If this sounds like you too, or if this allows you to learn more about what motivates me and I sound like a good fit for your needs, then it would be fantastic to catch up?

Services

Whilst I am first and foremost a coach, I use my coaching skills daily in the work I do being Managing Director of my Live Events and Video Production agency. We use events and video to change the mindsets of the audiences of our clients and at the heart of all of our projects is behavioural change. And that is where my coaching qualifications, training and experience kicks in.
