First visit to this hotel so was pleased the WI chose it for their Xmas meal. No need to pre-select menu items (a real bonus). Tables in the conservatory end of the restaurant. Very pleasant environment, good level of service and excellent food. Would definitely choose to dine here again. More...

Over the last 5 years we have been to different places for our team Xmas party. None have ever stuck in our mind.... yet the Lord Bute will. The setting was beautiful and tasteful, the food was absolutely amazing (and we do have fussy ones), the service was excellent, the team could not of done anymore for us. Everything the atmosphere, service, food, drinks and disco was better than exceptional. Highly recommend to anyone. Perfect setting, perfect evening. We had a really special wedding at this fabulous hotel. Chris, the wedding organiser, and his hard working team helped us to make everything perfect. The venue looked beautiful with all the mirrors and twinkling lights and all our guests commented on the superb food. A particular feature is having 4 choices for each course on the day- something our guests really appreciated! The buffet later on was also delicious and made our evening guests feel special. We had a mixture of ages and felt there was somewhere for everyone, whether they wanted to sit quietly and catch up or to dance the evening away.||Several of our guests commented how good the accommodation was and our room was very comfortable and a great place to get ready.||Thanks again to the Lord Bute team! Just arrived back from a 2 night stay, from when we checked in to when we left the whole experience was brilliant. We were made to feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. ||All the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was superb some of the best food we have eaten in a long time. Easy to find and easy to park. A very warm friendly welcome upon arrival. Our room was spacious, located at the back at the hotel (therefore quiet), and had all the essentials including a large fan - it was quite a warm day! The bed large and very comfortable.||The bathroom was light and adequate. ||I guess both the room and the bathroom would really benefit from an update - if so walk in showers please.||Breakfast was also very good and well presented although service seemed somewhat haphazard.||Overall a lovely relaxing stay. We stayed at the Lord Bute hotel with our dog. She’s a cockapoo so medium sized dog. |We were given the Coach House. It was really very nice. Small kitchen area and fridge. We took everything our fur baby needed which was fine. We were allowed to eat at the front of the restaurant which was a separate area away from the other guests. We were fine with that.|Breakfast and dinner choices off the menu. I was given an afternoon tea gift voucher for my birthday and I had a lovely afternoon with my friend and her mum. The staff are always so friendly and can't do enough for you and the cream tea was delicious. I ate far too much and took cakes home! What a fantastic night we had at Lord Bute celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary. Nothing was too much trouble. On arrival our twelve year old Granddaughter was greeted and given food choices suitable for her - not on the menu. Chris was delightful and made the evening with his friendly manner.
