Quirky and interesting! The building is wonderful; cosy and full of character. The people are attentive, not intrusive, and very welcoming. It has a warm, feelgood factor. The food was absolute perfection tonight! Steaks were really good, the flavours were delicious and the desserts...well, let's just say we didn't stop at one and they could easily become addictive!😂 Heading back very soon to this little gem! Myself and my family, including children, had a wonderful meal here. The setting is cosy, the staff are extremely welcoming and the food delicious. Visited The Lantern inn on the 12th Dec for the first time for Their Christmas Bazaar which was really good plenty of stalls of different Christmas craft offerings What impressed us was the character and Welcoming feel to this inn We also had a drink by the fireplace which was lovely We booked for Sunday lunch the following weekend on the 19th Dec We had a call the night before preparing us of covid requirements Which was good The welcome on arrival was so warm Lovely pre lunch drinks by a blazing fire Roast lunch was lovely I am a vegan and my diary requirement was met to a high standard a real explosion of flavours and textures Service was above and beyond too Will definitely be back soon Can’t recommend this place highly enough

What an absolute fantastic old country pub, gorgeous decor, open fires, amazingly friendly staff and locals. food was fantastic. we stopped for lunch friday (pizza) and fell in love, so booked dinner for Saturday and wasnt disappointed. Anywhere can serve beer but if you want a beautiful old pub full of friendly characters, charm, warmth and great food its worth the drive.they also have some amazing guest chef nights coming up that I hope we can try. well done to Andy and his team for creating this really amazing, unique place. cant wait to return. 🥂❤ More...

Always along wait for service and delivery of drinks let alone food. Staff just not given enough training and guidance Also no ale. The other day they had just one Craft beer on as they had forgotten to set up the others. When the drinks did arrive there was only 3 not the4!! All a shame More...

Very very disappointed!! Hubby booked a table for our anniversary. Staff left us sitting for half an hour as there were no tables ready. When we were finally seated, the table was not laid. We waited a further 20 until someone came to us. We were then given a menu with a couple of over priced burgers and a few pizzas. NO OTHER MENU CHOICES OR VARIETY. ( I went on the web site before we came to view the menu in advance and there was no menu there either.) This is a Saturday evening in mid summer!!! When I asked why there was no variety of foods on the menu, was told that's all we are doing! WE DEFINITELY WONT BE GOING BACK. THANKS FOR RUINING OUR ANNIVERSARY EVENING! More...
