Even though I had purchased a Vintage Afternoon Tea for Two, I knew that my Auntie couldn't have the cakes and I cannot have white bread . .. I rang the hotel and asked if it we could have fruit and wholemeal bread instead ... there was no hesitating at all ... the answer was yes - when we arrived, we had a beautifully laid out table and the Waitress bought out our gorgeous afternoon tea ... a gorgeous chopped fruit salad and all the sandwiches were done with wholemeal bread ... fantastic customer service - well done Hind Hotel and thank you for a lovely afternoon More...

Good place for a night or two and cheaper than some other places. However the parking is horrendous - very small and very hard to find unless you know in advance! Breakfast was OK, nothing special and they need to speed up with keeping items topped up but the food is good. Room was comfortable, was outdated and basic (which is to be expected from a very old grade II listed building though) but very clean and everything you need is there. Be warned though the walls are not sound proof (something I wish I could have explained to the people next to us at 5am!!) Staff very friendly and willing to help. Overall would definitely come back. My niece took me to the Hind Hotel for high tea yesterday as part of my Christmas present. As I am diabetic she asked the chef if we could exchange the cakes for some fruit, and kindly he did. We were expecting perhaps a couple of apples with a couple of strawberries, or similar, we were most pleasantly surprised at the trouble he went to with a mixed fresh fruit salad for each of us. Just spent two nights in the hotel for a family wedding. The price was extremely reasonable and it included breakfast which was delicious and plentiful . The rooms were clean and comfortable if a little dated. The hotel itself is full of character and which is expected as it's a period property. The staff were so lovely and helpful from the cleaners,the bar staff, the waiting staff to Ian the night reception guy and the amazing wee DJ. The parking is limited and is a wee bit difficult to locate if arriving at night, but that's just a wee blimp. We had the best works Xmas lunch today. Carly and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The table was laid to perfection, the food was delicious, the ambience spot on and the service impeccable. I am staying here whilst working in Wellingborough - yes some parts of the decor are a little tired, however the hotel is undergoing a major overhaul.
But - and it's a big BUT, The staff here are amazing and I will remember them all when my contract is over. Their friendliness and helpful attitude has made my stay here a real pleasure, that's why I will come back to visit as and when I can

So myself and my new wife got married at the hind yesterday. We have been planning our wedding there for the last 18 months. And I can’t possible describe how wonderful all the staff were. I would like to thank the staff that was on in the bar yesterday afternoon especially the young lad with glasses. Me and my family couldn't find anywhere big enough for 15 people at that short notice for my sister's birthday and they where so kind enough to give us a function room and a complementary drink for the birthday girl. This was our first stay at The Hind. Refurbishment is currently being undertaken. However, this did not deter from the good service, very polite, helpful staff.
Excellent breakfast. Clean rooms, linen and towels. Room facilities very good. The only downside is the minimal parking area. Contractor vehicles adding to small parking area BUT this was not a problem. We only had to ask someone to move, which they did. No problem.
There is one other thing I would like to mention. When the room doors shut, they close with a loud bang. This can wake people already asleep at night. Overall we were very pleased and enjoyed our short stay. Thank you.

We had our little boys 1st birthday party at the Hind Hotel in the Queen Anne room. The room was a great size for 15 children and parents. We also hired soft play from a company which the events manager Carly Bartram recommend. All the children loved it. The decorations also were fantastic. This place has always been in my heart as a child . This hotel is full of history and good history . Oliver Cromwell stayed here . The Oliver Cromwell room beautiful old bar and a hidden tunnel in which he escaped . Quirky in places . I do hope they refurbish the balcony . The new owner is friendly and is working hard to get this hidden gem noticed and about time too . I do hope he leaves this an historical place as well as refurbished. The food is sooo good here and cheap. Sunday lunch is good again good for the money . Staff are wonderful . Good place to have a special event . For all those who like spooky . The Hind is undergoing a full renovation in sections, the refurbished rooms are modern and contemporary, although the building will retain its original 400 year old character. The staff are very helpful and welcoming and will make any stay a pleasure, I enjoy being there and will miss them all when my work in Wellingborough is finished More...

A fantastic building and a big double room which the staff kindly upgraded me to free of charge. Friendly staff and a good central location.
The only downside was that the room was a bit cold, the bathroom was a bit shabby and the temperature of the bath/shower was really hard to adjust. The water was either too hot or too cold.
However, a very enjoyable in general and I certainly appreciated the upgrade.

Very good service on behalf of the staff. There were some problems regarding the WiFi connection and the rooms clearly need refurbishment (the floors creak very loudly and the windows seem to be about to fall out, plus it's very hard to adjust water temperature in the shower) but the reception always tried to accommodate my requests.
They should consider the acceptance of different credit cards such as American Express.

Lovely hotel in the center of town with a cosy little bar perfect for a beer or two when shopping. Prices very competitive and at the time I was there you could pay £10 and have 4 beers of your choice including Strongbow dark fruits or Guinness. I really loved this hotel because of its history and period feel. There may be some need for refurbishment, which is, as far as I know, the plan, but I hope this will not compromise the "stepping back in time" feeling that, in my opinion, creates charm and character.
