Not only did the grange bail me out for my daughters party, as I had been left without a venue. But they accommodated everything I had already organised. The room was gorgeous, the access to play lists was fantastic and the staff were really friendly! My daughter really enjoyed her party. It’s a perfect venue and I’ll be coming for a gin night! First time here yesterday evening and what a lovely place! we were made to feel very welcome with the kids, theres no where around here that happily caters for families but the Grange does and the Gin selection is amazing so much choice already planning our next visit! what a hidden gem it is

Lovely setting with good fresh cooked food. Something different from all the chain. I know some people had a wait for the food due to a power cut but we got our food within a reasonable time and was offered free drinks for the delay as well as the opening night discount so really was great value. The food we had was lovely, I had chicken Diane on a bed of mash and Ian had chicken Kiev with triple cooked chips. For dessert we had hot chocolate fudge cake and gin & tonic cheesecake. The restaurant was busy and they had issues with the electric going off so some people were waiting a long time for their food, but I really felt for the staff it was their opening night and they were doing their best. We were there on opening night but early on so not affected by the power cut. Had a lovely evening. Food was good although our main could have been hotter but was ok. The ingredients were obviously good quality and well cooked. Glad we received 50% off as we felt it was just a little bit pricey.
The only real downside for us was the room we were in. It was very small which was fine when it was just my husband, my young son and I. But towards the end of the meal we were joined by a party of 4. They were practically at the same table as us which was not good. This room would have been perfect for a party of eight.

Saying that we will return but will request to be in another room.

My partner and I ate here again tonight, yes we were there for their difficult first night but that was then, they've obviously put that behind them.
The service was beyond reproach, we had the fillet steak which was on offer, well we are Yorkshiremen, gave our instructions and before we had got half way down our excellent bottle of house red the steak arrived and it was exactly as we had ordered it. Seared on the outside, seasoned and the inside was as pink as you could get it whilst still being cooked. Yes, we ARE fussy but it was top notch this evening and they get a well deserved 5*.
If you are looking for something outside the chains, home cooked locally sourced produce in a wonderful private restaurant you should try this. If you haven't been or if you've been once and it wasn't up to scratch then come and just try it again. It's worth it. More...

Let us use a room for a few hours for the start of a hen party to do games etc. I’m sure 9 girls dressed in harry potter theme fancy dress was a first! Lol. Let me leave stuff there during the day ready for the night, looked after us and helped out wherever they could. Cosy, different and comfortable. Great cocktail and gin selection too. A hidden gem!! Called today at lunchtime for a couple to try it out after hearing some great reports. Soon as we walked in felt really welcomed by Craig and Vicky the owners. The hubbie said he'd drive so I took advantage of the 'Gin bar' with over 50+ gins I didn't know where to start!!! 6 different gins later I decided that the parma violet gin with edible flowers was definitely my favourite � although the Unicorn Tears Gin (Glitters!) was amazing! Great prices too.... much cheaper than our local pub! And family friendly..... A room with PlayStation 4 and great selection of games for the kids and board games as well.
There's Free pool table and a darts room and even a room with a poker table. They've just got a karaoke machine installed in one room that u can sing on even if it's not a planned karaoke night!!!
Craig said they were getting table tennis delivered shortly and sky sports is playing in the Lounge area.
Noticed a sign that said Hoffman's pork pie and pies this weekend too!
Roll on the summer.... beer garden where you can sit with dogs too and they are opening up an area with swings, slide and a trampoline for the kids! This is our new fave place to go!

Came here with the family and friends last night! How fantastic!! Kids have their own personal rooms with ps4, pool table, games room, darts all FREE of charge! ! And adults also have plenty of rooms to sit and relax in! Really enjoyed the evening knowing the kids were safe and had lots to do aswell as being able to enjoy a night with friends tasting the whole gin bar!!! Also a big Thankyou for thinking of us staff on the frontline this week with the weather conditions! I loved my complimentary gin, it was very thoughful of you!! I highly highly recommend going here the atmosphere is lovely! 5 stars from me all the way! Cannot wait to return xx More...

We visited for the very first time for the gin tasting evening last night and it did not disappoint. The variety of gins you have is amazing and the fact we all received an extra gin ticket was delightful - thank you. The venue is really quirky and we loved the different rooms upstairs. The ladies bathroom made us chuckle because it literally is a bathroom with a bath and a shower in there � we spent the majority of the night upstairs playing pool and poker but could still here the music playing, so still felt part of the night. Food was very good, came on time and was hot and reasonably priced. Good variation on the menu for both food and drinks.
