The Castlefield rooms

If you are looking for a city centre wedding venue then this is the place! Fab modern venue within the beautiful Castlefield surroundings. We had a fantastic wedding day! Us and our guests were well looked after by the event manager and everyone at the venue. Nothing was too much trouble and everything ran smoothly. Thanks to Helen our wedding coordinator, who really put us at ease from the first visit and was really helpful and attentive throughout the planning stages and on the day itself. We recently had our wedding at The Castlefield Rooms and would highly recommend them. We fell in love with the venue when we first visited. It’s perfectly located in the heart of Castlefield, surrounded by the canals and ‘old’ Manchester. Once we met Helen and the team, we were further convinced that it was the venue for us. They made the entire planning process effortless and completely stress free. We knew everything was in truly safe hands. They made the whole day run so smoothly, and whilst we know they worked extremely hard behind the scenes, everything around us just seemed to ‘happen’ exactly as planned. The food for our wedding breakfast was excellent. Really delicious and great quality. The venue is beautiful as well, with high wooden beamed ceilings in the Brindley room, and great space and views out of the Merchant room (plus a gorgeous new wooden floor!). The whole place and surroundings are a fantastic backdrop to photos as well.Our guests all really enjoyed the day, and loved the venue too. More...

We had our wedding here a few weeks ago, and would definately recommend this venue. We were in the Merchant Room. We had the ceremony at 4pm, drinks and canapes on the Balcony Bar then back in the Merchant Room for the reception. everything went like clockwork and all my requests were followed through the the last detail. The room was stunning! we had the draping lights and love letters which made all the difference, with the silver candleabras for the tables. it was so elegant and very tasteful. When night crept in the Manchester skyline lights up and looks amazing especially the the traains racing overhead, all easily seen through the floor to ceoling windows. The food was amazing and they boxed up all the leftovers for us to take away with is the next day. All family photos were done by the willow trees, alongside the canal so the backdrop was fabulous. We had additional photos amongst the cobbled streets, the lock and the arches. These photos were just stunning, and created a very industrial urban feel. We had a Peaky Blinders / Gatsby theme, matched with the location it was perfect. The 2am close time was a bonus too! Nothing was too much trouble for the wedding planners. I dealt with Helen Foster mostly, she was a pleasure to deal with and always came back to me quickly. My advice is do not underestimate this venue, it was perfect and easily accommodated our wedding party of 97 in the day and 180 at night. I just wish we could do it all again! I cannot express in words how greatful we are of all the help and support from Helen and the whole events team and Chefs at Castlefield Rooms. The teams attention to detail is fantastic (Thank you for sorting the right colour sash last minute) and the food was amazing. Would fully recommend the bowl menu. I just wish I wasn’t as nervous as I was, as I couldn’t eat as much as I normally would. The “doggy” bag of food to take home was very appreciated to enjoy the food later after our honeymoon. Helen was a great point of contact for all of the planning stages. I wish we could do it all again. Total value for money and would highly recommend this venue for your wedding. The Brindley Room is a gorgeous room with the fairy lights and the gallery bar is perfect for drinks reception. Thank you again. More...

Couldn't fault the Castlefield Rooms at all! They are the number 1 wedding venue I've been to in Manchester and I'm not just saying that because our wedding was there! Their prices and packages are extremely fair and are adjustable by person rather than most place where you have to have a certain number which we liked. We had the bottom package (silver I think) and it was more generous than most weddings I have been too which many of the guests commented on. The food was INCREDIBLE. So many of my friends still go on about it. I had the risotto over the meat option because it was so amazing. Helen was spectacular throughout the process and we felt that the staff cared for our wedding reception rather than just getting on with their shift. The two ladies who ran the event on the night (I'm so sorry I can't remember your names!) were incredible and all the staff were so approachable nothing was too much to ask. The attention to detail was amazing, they checked everything with us. It really is a bespoke venue and anywhere that manages to make a horribly rainy day in February look amazing must be a winner (the fairy light wall is a must!). The florist the CR work with (Frog) were amazing also and so professional. The guests felt looked after and had an incredible time.
